Has anyone noticed they've been getting rid of talented individuals such as Elijah Burke and Paul London, also hesitating to sign such wrestlers as Mistico, Takeshi Morishima and Low Ki. Now i'm aware that not all of these were for budget reasons and there are many extrinuating circumstances involved but...can someone please explain how in the blue hell none of those guys are in WWE and yet they've found room for Goldust on the roster~!?

The crowd was dead for his return on Monday, and these days he can't work, he can't cut a promo and he's not over.

Your thoughts on Goldust being in WWE (even in a short time role) when they could have used the money on someone you know...good? :/ Or do you think it was a solid move or otherwise?

well according to Goldusts conract is like Rock and Austins and Foley's how it is never ending they pretty much can call them up for one time specials whenever needed for a special one time segment or a short one month feud like how Austin is the reff of some spots and how Rock had a promo hyping the Vince / Trump thing in WM 23.

Anyway before I go way off topic with WM 23, I would also like to say that seeing how his father Dusty Rhodes is part of the creative team he can pretty much come in as much as he likes whether you like it or don't personally I don't but heck, whatcha gonna do when Goldust and his 24 carrot gold productions runs wild all over you:laugh:

I was against the suggestion of Golddust returning for a run as it seems a bit desperate and unimaginative to get him in just cos Cody is in the spot he is.... Surely they can come up with something better for Cody.

The only thing I wouldn't mind seeing is GD hitting upon Santino... I'm sure Santino would have me in stitches!

As for the other guys... There's lots of talent out there (contracted or otherwise) who are NOT on WWE TV... If WWE aren't gonna use them (see Burke, London, Burchill amongst others) then, hell, at least they can go wrestle somewhere else.

Goldust is a fat, worthless piece of shit. The fact that he takes up time on programming when we could see people who can actually wrestle is a disgrace. We have enough comedy, so :arrow_4: Goldust.

I understand what all of you are trying to say, but it makes sense for WWE. The WWE likes characters. IMO, They'd rather have someone that has personality than someone who's a great wrestler. If you go down the line of the guys that were let go, only Burke had charisma. He was great, but he really did nothing spectacular to show why he's so damn good.

EDIT - Waits for nobody to reply, because they're more infatuated with talking about each other than wrestling.

I knew someone was going to bring that up. And I understand what you're saying about them liking characters above good wrestlers. It doesn't make sense though in a sense that, there are already Santino and Haas on Raw, what is Goldust gonna bring that those guys can't? Armando Estrada was let go and he was nothing special as far as in-ring skills, but could have made a great Sweeney type manager or mid carder. Either way, there are at least 10 younger and better guys they could have used that money on, even for character purposes. :/

While I agree people like Goldust have no need over guys like Burke, it is irrelevant, because Goldust isn't taking Burke's spot. Or London's. He is coming in part time, and it is for a reason.
They are trying to get the crowd into the IC title again, and guys like London and Burke, who are not over at all, and never will be, can't do that.

Anyways, if we're talking about how Burke should be getting a push, or should've been when he was here, I say no, because simply, in the chances he had, he wasn't over, and it's clear he wasn't going to be.

But, if we are dealing specifically with whether or not bring back Goldberg was a good idea, I'm on the fence.
Will he make an impact? not really.
But it's good enough for a funny storyline with Santino, bring in a familiar name for a few weeks for the IC title picture, and basically just let him be on tv for a bit.
As long as it isn't permanent, I'm fine with it.

They're making the IC Title seem like something. Wow, let's look at the first round matches of the tourney. First off, we had someone get DQ'd. The belt looks like gold already. Then we had some guy in the tournament who hadn't competed in months. Fucking great. The IC Title is definitely made to look good when guys like Snitsky are chasing it, and guys like Kane don't even give a shit about the thing.

Goldust isn't there to help the IC Title. What's he going to do to help? Have a feud with Regal? Sorry, I'd rather watch a Big Daddy V match.

No, he is there to help it by being there to contribute to the tournament, and perphaps put some guys over, and overall, be in the tournament.
Anyways, like I said, he isn't going to hurt. It's only short term, he will just pu tothers over, and he can actually have a good promo or two every once in a while. Like I said, I'm on the fence. I'm not gonna start an anti-goldust movement, cause I don't give two shits about him. He means nothing, but at the same time, he can't hurt, because he's literally going to isappear in 2 weeks.

but what can the "wrestlers" do to help? the fans won't care for them as characters, they'll just want to see this move or that move. I'd rather have a character, because you can have more than just wrestling with him, and he won't get as stale quickly.

Goldust does suck, but I understand what WWE's trying to do. I'd want to see Goldust doing his shtick instead of some random good "wrestler" that will just cut a promo.

It looks as though Goldust has been working out, if you look at him as Black Reign and then look at him now it looks like he has lost alot of weigt so atleast he's trying to not suck so bad and be fat lol. It was kind of stupid though, bringing him back. He was funny back in the day but I would rather have someone who has a good character AND can wrestle. Not to mention he killed Santino! :smh

That's just silly. He isn't literally going to disappear. Perhaps figuratively, though.
