Now, I have noticed something. Every single wrestling fan I know always have 2 different reactions when I talk about Bill Goldberg. 1) They think he kicks ass or 2) they hate him with a passion. I have noticed that there is no mid ground when it comes to Goldberg. Goldberg is my favorite wrestler of all time by the way, but I want to know what IWF's opinions are on Bill Goldberg.

Sloppy, one dimensional and dangerous to others and himself.

I can't accept someone like that as a wrestler.

I think he kicks ass. I've always been a fan of him ever since his debut; when I first saw him, I was like, "He's awesome!" Of course, I was younger, and yet, here I am, a decade or so later, and I'm still a huge fan of his. I never really watched his RAW run in '03, though I've seen his matches against Rock, Lesnar, Triple H, and others on DVD, and he really wasn't the same. He was watered down, and when WCW was going under, he really was no longer the beast he was when he had his streak. I miss him though; would love to see one last match involving him.

As a simple fan, I find him awesone. I love the intensity he brings to the table as a big man, as I am in the idea that man with his body and size don't have to try to wrestle "beautifully", and instead go in there and only kick ass.

However, knowing some of the backstage rumors made me lose respect for him, as I think how and the reasons he left the WWE are those of a bitch.

I liked him, I wasn't exactly a mega mark but I enjoyed his work. I think both WCW and WWE pushed him the right way. He was a badass that, despite making some mistakes that hurt others in the ring, can still put on an awesome match and really get the crowd going. It sucks that he went out on a bad note though

I think a wrestling fan stand point that he is kick ass. Who doesn't love a decently built badass who practically whoops everyone ass with major hype? Now looking at it as an educated wrestling fan view he isn't the worst and not the best. He has a few moves that are good but most matches are the same.

He might have been a bit more exciting on his 'way up' in WCW, but to me he's about as entertaining as Batista and other generic muscle guys.... i.e. Not very.

Goldberg is also my favorite wrestler of all time. You all raise good points, and as a informed and understanding human being, I agree with the points that Goldberg was sloppy and dangerous. He left like a little bitch and never really 'paid his dues'.

However, he was unique from the moment he stepped into WCW. He was built geniusly and played the role better than any other big man has ever. Everything from his ring entrance to his music to the taunts was perfect for the character, and I 'marked out' each time "Invasion" hit the P.A. His match at Halloween Havoc against DDP is burned into my memory as one of my favorites of all time, even though he lost. These things all made the fantasy wrestling, unknowing little child in me absolutely love this activity, and there is nothing else that can take the place of that...give me Goldberg any day of the week.

actually I heard a few of the things that came from backstage in his 2003/2004 run in WWE Raw when he had that feud with Triple H and evolution.

Anyway, don't quote me on this may not be 100% true but I heard that at the end of a show he got into a real not kayfabe and fake shit a real fight with Triple H in the parking lot. Anyway and that was one of the reasons that Goldberg had left about five or six months later after their feud when he had his last feud with Lesnar at mania.

Arrogant and selfish guy who thinks he is really precious when he is actually not. He is a good wrestler, no doubt about that and he makes me jump every time I see him, but his over-boosted ego and wretched skills make him useless everywhere in the professional wrestling business today.

I seriously doubt, if that would have happened, that HHH would have dropped the belt to him and put him over twice.

Yep, i hate him with a passion. I think the lack of depth hurt WCW in the long run. Boring character = boring storylines. He had WCW on his back and he failed big time. On top of all that, the guy has a huge ego. Everything he ever got was handed to him on a sliver plate, and he has the nerve to be a prick.
