I disagree that it sounds like emo. I don't think it sound emo AT ALL. if anything "Burn In My Light" sounded more emo than that.

More of a question on my part, than a statement... I have no idea what Emo supossedly sounds like... Soft metal for whiney peeps on anti-depressants at a complete guess...?

Eh...close, but it's a little broader than that.

Here are songs from emo bands (and this goes by wikipedia's classification of emo, but I do agree).

[YT]UAQcNo9yWbM[/YT] - < Cute Is What We Aim For
[YT]xWHf_vYZzQ8[/YT] < Fall Out Boy
[YT]pC_YIjlH5oc[/YT] < Hawthorne Heights
[YT]OwsJ7FZp6-o[/YT] < From First To Last
[YT]Wzp2hFi20cM[/YT] <New Found Glory
[YT]WxA8VJvirXI[/YT] <Panic! At The Disco
[YT]WcwweoJDkV0[/YT] <My Chemical Romance
[YT]xROOXmyXRvY[/YT] <Taking Back Sunday

just some examples. (I won't lie, MCR is awesome and I even like 2 songs by Panic! At the Disco (not the one shown tough).

Emo is awful. Metal is ok, rock is pretty good, but punk is the way to go.
I hate seeing these emo kids around here walk around alllooking like clones, with their girl pants and swept over hair. God I hate it.

And as for this, the song is better fr Punk than Orton anyways, and Orton's new song suits him.

By the way, Chuck, why does your sig say "Edge Foreva"? I remember that guy, lol.

the song itself is awesome but doesn't fit as an entrance. haven't we been through this before?
Exactly. He shouldn't have it. Also, this news is REALLY old, have known this forever.

And another thing which is funny is, most of the people (including me) hate/hated "Voices" when they first hear it, then get obsessed with it. =p

How can anybody not like “Burn In My Light”? The new one is awful.

Here’s when Orton did use Killswitch Engage once:

I liked the Evolution theme too.

I agree with Orton? I actually think he should have kept Line in The Sand. Of course, he probably can't use it due to the fact that some other dude already a Motorhead song in his entrance theme.

I think a heel Batista would fit better with "Line in the Sand", which I think is like the best fucking theme song ever.

Line in the sand is by far the best wwe theme ever, next to "The Game".
I'd actually love HHH to have it back.

I actually liked those emo bands, especially Hawthorne heights and new found glory.

How does line in the sand suit anyone APART from Evolution (collectively)?

...They gonna just crudely edit the word "Evolution" out like they do the references to WWF on the re-issue DVDs??? : P

It sounds like a boy-band doing metal.
aren't all the new bands like that? and since i've been asked a lot what "emo" means, for the last time people, its short for emotional. its not really about the sound as much as it is about the lyrics.

Emo is awful. Metal is ok, rock is pretty good, but punk is the way to go.
punk is gay.

^^^Not nearly as "gay" as having to emphasis the point that your lyrics 'are' emotional....

:wretches:

So, as long as the lyrical content was "emotional" then we could have Emo-Hop, Emo-Country or even Emo-rave?

Utter nonsense when it comes down to it... The mojority of lyricists attempt to put emotions into their songs. Some would feel they have justification claiming Mariah Carey or Celine Dion have emotional lyrics.

im sorry, i didn't make it up. its what emo actually is. a sub-genre...its basically ROCK but with soft emotional lyrics.

i think it makes sense...

:2gunsfiring_v1:

Anyways, emo, as a genre (it sucks) but it is, like chuck said, defined by the type of music. Lyrics also play a part, but the two go hand in hand. But all the emo bands have that same style of music, and that all falls under emo. But the lyrics play a part to.
But, for the record, I wouldn't call orton's song emo at all. It's just a creepy song.
