On iMPACT!, we saw Scotty Steiner make his return and clean house of the younger guys. He hit everyone, except Petey. Petey was great, as he looked kinda scared, backing off a bit, with Steiner choosing not to hit him, and instead hit people like AJ. Hopefully, this is hinting at them starting something.

The matches wouldn't be great, sure. But I'd love to see them actually do something with Petey. It would be good to just see him being used in a feud for a change. The story is there, now TNA just needs to go through with it.

Thoughts?

I see that. Petey starts a feud with Scotty, because of betrayling himself.

They can also male Petey a big factor in fighting the MEM which is also good for the trailing mud, Petey's been doing.

No feud should come out of this, Steiner should come out on iMPACT! and talk about how he's done teaming with Petey, and how he is now a part of the Main Event Mafia. Petey can then join the New Generation and maybe get rid of his Steiner look

So you should waste a perfectly good feud, with a story behind it for no particular reason?

And Petey has already aligned himself with the TNA Originals.

There SHOULD be a feud. It goes exactly with this feud going on now. Old school vs. New School. Petey's been in TNA forever so this is just something more to help fuel this feud.

^ To both of you:

We already saw the kind of matches that Petey and Scotty can put on. They aren't good, the styles don't mesh well and if you're going to have a good feud the matches need to deliver and I don't think that can happen with these two in the ring. The backstory is there, its just the actual matches that proably won't be good imo.

So what if the matches won't be good? Does that mean Nash and Joe shouldn't wrestle, despite the backstory behind it? Matches do NOT make a feud. If you think that you need good matches for a feud to be amazing, then you shouldn't be watching mainstream wrestling, as it is storytelling.

^ Notice how I said "good" instead of "great" or "awesome" because that is what they need to be. The story is the main element of most main stream wrestling feuds, I understand that, but it doesn't mean that the match can be garbage. My point was, Scotty and Petey don't have much chemistry in the ring, and since we've seen what kind of match they can put on, it doesn't leave me itching to see the feud

There are feuds where the ending match of it doesn't look good or isn't good, just look at all of Batista's feuds and ending matches :shifty:

But seriously, the feud is there ready to go, the last time I looked Petey Williams was heel and now he is on the Originials team full of faces, he really should face/feud Steiner and become a fulltime face again so he belongs on the Originals team more. They better use it and yeah of course we all enjoy the match from the feud but sometimes you have to just take that crap match to get somewhere with the guys in ring to take them elsewhere...

They may shock you and actually put on a good match.

JBL had decent feuds throughout 2004 with people like Undertaker and Booker T, and they didn't have great matches. Nor did they have such a natural backstory. Just because you don't want to see them wrestle doesn't mean they shouldn't feud.

Chess I for one think your wrong. I remember Petey and Scotty's match at a ppv i forget the name of for the TNA Heavyweight title shot briefcase, which was a faily good match Scott's had in a long time. It was just the ending that blew that match off otherwise you wouldn't be talking right now.

I reckon that Petey will be the snake, and turn on the Originals after Steiner brainwashes him or promises him further glory. And then he'll turn on the Originals and then Steiner will double cross him and leave Petey out in the cold.

Just a little prediction there ;).

The thing with me is i actually thought that steiner and peteys match from (i forgot what PPV it was) was actually good. and its not like the feud has to drag on and on it would just be a short way of getting petey back into the mix and hopefully putting him over steiner.
