In what can't be good news for former ECW champion Bobby Lashley, MMA company The American Fight League announced the following on their website:

The American Fight League has made the decision to halt operations until the first quarter of 2009. The organization's doors are still open and the roster of fighters remains the same. AFL fighters are free to fight in whatever organization that they wish while maintaining their current contract status.

Lashley signed with the company and was scheduled to be part of an Atlanta-based PPV event that has been postponed numerous times. Lashley has mentioned he would be fighting on 12/13 in Miami in recent interviews, but nothing has been publicly announced in regard to the event

I still can't believe Lashley got released when he was in for HUGE push, and chooses to deal with bullshit like this.

Good Lashley sucks. He's just going to get his ass kicked when he fights.
