TNA's "iMPACT!" video game release has not been nearly as successful as initially hoped. Midway Games lost double what they expected during the third quarter. The company projected losses of $34 million, but now expect to lose $64 million in the quarter. Midway hoped the TNA video game would help save the quarter. Midway canceled two licenses, but spared TNA for the time being. It's being said that sales for the TNA "iMPACT!" video game have not been good at all and the feeling is that if sales continue to disappoint during the holiday season, there will be no future TNA video game releases from Midway. Even if the game sells well during the holiday season, it won't matter if the company goes out of business.

Midway has Mortal Kombat Vs. DC to worry about; TNA is an unfortunate casualty, but I didn't think it'd sell that well to begin with, especially with some of the negative reviews going around. I don't think Midway will go out of business because of TNA; it's not their most valuable asset. If MK Vs. DC bombs, however, that's a different story.

I thought it did fairly well...? When we heard the reports of sales before they didn't sound too bad. Maybe they just over-projected?

I ended up buying the game and I regret it. Its absolute garbage, I hope Midway cancells it and TNA works with a videogame company thats actually capable of making a game thats worth 60 bucks

Either EA or Activision; both companies are rather well known for their yearly installments of games.

^^Not unless they drop the WWE Licence. I don't know who else could make a good game, no one has been able to do a decent one for years. THQ is the only company with the track record....sure they haven't all been great, but they have had more sucsess then failure.

Well, Yuke's develops WWE's games, while THQ has a hand in managing and publishing. Yuke's is good. What TNA needs is either AKI or Spike to develop their games, or an EA Team. Midway is very meh...

^^thats true. AKI would be awesome. Hell Midway could still publish it. It would be smart to do so.

You seriously think that EA would join hands with TNA to make a wrestling game? I seriously doubt it because they have much better things to do. TNA Impact! was a big let down... I don't see anything good in the game except the graphics and I won't be surprised if Midway drops out so early.
