Austin Aries/Jimmie Jacobs Fued

What are you thoughts on what many call ROH's Fued of the year. (if not in wrestling) For a brief history to the story, Jacobs started the Age of the Fall in 2007 and in early 2008 Jimmie Jacobs went out to recruit Austin Aries. Jimmie went as far as to send out his girl Lacey to bring Austin to AOTF. Austin agree'd to go with Lacey, but not with AOTF. Thus stealing Jimmie's girl, who he has worked for, for years. Now Jimmie is outraged and Aries is simply tired of the AOTF BS. The fued continued as Jimmie "took out" Lacey from wrestling all together with a mysterious act. They two first clashed in a one on one match at Vendetta II, and now the Triology has been announced.

The first one has already been announced for October 25th in Edison, NJ. It will be an Anything Goes Match. This fight gives Aries and Jacobs an opportunity to rip each other to pieces with no rules and no limitations. This is going to be a brawl and anything is legal. The winner will be determined by pinfall or submission.

The second grudge match will take place on 11/8 in Toronto. This time it will be a Dog Collar Match. Jacobs and Aries have been tied together by hatred. Now they will be bound by a steel chain. They will be faced with each other and no escape will be possible. The victor will be determined by pinfall or submission.

The third and final match will be a test of wills and pride. It will be part of the pay-per-view taping on 11/22 in Chicago. This rivalry has been building on PPV and now Chicago will witness the blow off. There will be no rules and only one way to win the contest in Chi-Town. 11/22 will be the final bout pitting Aries vs. Jacobs and it will be an I Quit Match. The loser will have to swallow his pride and say the words "I Quit" and admit his hated rival is the better man.


I think this is a great idea, and a great way to end the fued. Im a big fan of Submission matches, and I Quit matches, and think this is the perfect way to end the fued. These matches are going to be brutal.


11/22 in Chicago could be ROH's biggest show of all time.

Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't save these matches for Final Battle, but i guess they want to really sell the ppv.

This should be an amazing PPV. Most likely their best yet.

If I'm not mistaken, that PPV will air on December, so it makes sense to have the matches take place in November. I've enjoyed the feud, but at times Aries has come accross as the heel. He stole Jimmy's girl, he taunted him because of it, he turned Necro against him.

I will say this, so many gimmick matches seems a bit like overkill, seeing as how they've had a cage match (Even if there was some additional talent), now they're having an Anything Goes match, then The Dog Chain, then I Quit match. I worked in the Punk vs Rave and Punk vs Raven feuds, but those was a while ago.

Still, Jacobs vs Aries is easily THE 2ND BEST feud in wrestling this year. Shawn and Jericho=The best.

Considering how epic BJ Whitmer vs Jimmy Jacobs' I quit match was in IWA-MS Austin and Jimmy will probably end up mangled messes by the time this one's over. One has to wonder if Lacey will make a one time appearance or not.
