It's no secret that the X-Division isn't quite what it once was. Of course, the division consisting of Styles, Joe, Daniels, Sabin, Kaz, Senshi, etc. is a hard act to follow.

If you were given the responsibility of hiring (or rehiring) five guys to reignite the X-Division, who would you choose? Disregard reality in terms of who wouldn't sign. If they're not under contract somewhere, they're fair game for this thread. Who, in your eyes, are five guys who could bring the division back to its former glory?

Senshi - They need an X-Division O.G. (To steal a Matt Striker line) back in TNA. Senshi is a gifted and, more importantly, unique talent. He was a part of the first ever X-Division Title match. That kind of experience in the division is something TNA really needs, imo.

Jack Evans - I'm shocked that TNA hasn't tried to lock him into a contract by now. He does some truly incredible things. Let's face it, the X-Division not being as spotty as it used to be isn't an entirely good thing. As much as it used to make smarks cringe, the casuals are the audience TNA needs to hook. A guy like Evans could do just that.

Austin Aries - He should have been the bad ass he is in ROH. TNA dropped the ball with him big time, imo. I really think he could do a lot for the division without an over the top gimmick.

Roderick Strong - He's another one that has a very unique style. He's like an X-Division powerhouse with all his back breaker variations. He could definitely get over on the 'Messiah of the Backbreaker' moniker if booked correctly.

Naomichi Marufuji - TNA has no true Japanese representation (Curry Man doesn't count). Marufuji can fill that void, and is a tremendous talent. The guy has the in-ring ability to bring back the old X-Division excitement while still using good psychology.

Thoughts?

Nice thread, here are the guys I would pick up:

Senshi: As you said, he was a part of the first ever X-Division Title match and he is a phenomenal wrestler. He is unique, and a major part of what the X-Division stands for. TNA needs to bring him back

Elix Skipper: The guy is underrated. Let him come back and kick ass in the X-Division. No need for any gimmicks here

Jack Evans: Like you said, he does amazing things in the ring and he can really bring back that "spot fest" type feel to the X-Division matches

Ruckus: This guy can do fucking insane shit in the ring, I don't know about his mic skills but does that really matter at this point? Its the X-Division! Just have him go out there and amaze the crowd with his aerial attacks.

Matt Cross: He is another guy that can really do some amazing things in the ring, and out of it. I would love to see him in TNA one day

Austin Aries: TNA dropped the ball with this guy big time. He could have been a main eventer, but instead they gave him a terrible gimmick and he ended up leaving and going back to a company that actually respects his in ring talent.

Thats really all I can think of at the moment

Jason Cross-Was in the X-Division back in the day of weekly PPV's...Was a great addition to it...and still can pull off some amazing moves.

Bryan Danielson-From what I've seen from him he looks as he would make a great addition to the X-Division.

The Amazing Red-Seen some of his stuff also and can do some pretty cool stuff would add alot to the X-Division

Elix Skipper-I say bring this guy back..He does some cool crap while in TNA like the hurricanrana off the cage.

Juventud Guerrera-Might could do some cool crap and really light the X-Division up..

Matt Bentley: One of my favs, he is the man who came up with the Ultimate X match and he won it a few times, great moveset and to get him back would be great for TNA and the X-Division!

Roderick Strong: His matches are awesome not to mention his back breakers, we could see many good matches/feuds with him in there.

Austin Aries: He is just awesome all round, X-Division is nothing without him imo!!!

Amazing Red: His matches in TNA back in the day were great and his moveset is crazy and awesome to watch. They need to get Red back their fast!

Jack Evans: Another great high flying guy, we could see some good matches with him in their...

Well I don't usually take part of TNA discussions, but I'll put my two cents in.

Elix Skipper: He was a X-Divison original and can do some really good stuff and put some non bullshit gimmick like wrestling in the X-Division.

Senshi: Same as above.

Matt Cross: He is probally one of the most talented people i have ever seen in the ring. His limitations is limitless and he could make an X-Divison with Super Hereos and Guru Wife Stealers and A cheap second rate Macho Man ripoff look good with just his presence in matches.

Jack Evans: I for one am really shocked that TNA hasn't remotely try to pick this guy up, he is one of the best high flying athletes in wrestling today.

Brian Danielson: He can bring extoardinary grappling and wrestling to the X-Divison and help make it what it once was.

On a side note I would make Sharkboy lose the Austin gimmick and he and Curryman become Tag team competetors while Super Eric loses the Super Eric gimmick and just become Eric Young in the X-Division and get rid of Rock and Rave infection and just have Jimmy Rave w/ Christie Hemme as his manager.
