I'm new to making graphics, and only want to make one or two sigs and an avatar using GIMP.

Problem is, I dont have a clue how to do it and make it look good.

Anyone care to help a guy out? :console:

I ended up with my below sig after following what I could of the tutorial.. Anything anyone would like to add about my sig, and what I can do to improve... or?

No, first get yourself Photoshop.

All the other softwares suck, if you want to go good from the start it's Photoshop. I can't help you with GIMP.

I did have photoshop CS2, but got rid when I never used it and it was a huge file.

I might try to redownload and then use the photoshop tut.
