TNA trying one off live iMPACT in October

- As we reported earlier according to Mike Johnson TNA will air a live edition of iMPACT! from Las Vegas on 10/23. In a further update on that Johnson reports that the show will take place at the Hard Rock Cafe and will be the first ever High Definition broadcast for the company.

wow, this is a HUGE step for the company! TNA leaves the iMPACT! Zone AND they are going HD!! I think this is what Jarrett's big announcement will be at the Bound For Glory PPV. I definitely can't wait for this show, this is awesome

well I guess HD is the big announcement - they are building it up like a new company like what WWE did in February.

^Good point. They did a Live show back in March and on Wrestlemania week, but it drew the same.

Most likely, it'll be in HD for a week..they'll see how the ratings are, and if they still suck, they're going to keep Impact in SD

-- TNA is set to air a live episode of iMPACT! at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Thursday, October 23 in Las Vegas. The show will also be the first episode of iMPACT! to be broadcast in HD. Spike TV launched a High Definition channel a few months ago, but its availability is limited.
TNA's switch to HD will be permanent. TNA is changing their set in the Impact Zone for the switch to HD. They will likely do away with one of the two entrances the wrestlers use, not to mention make the new set more visually appealing in HD. On a side note, we've gotten a lot of emails from Comcast subscribers saying they do not have the Spike HD channel.
