The Daily Star posted an interview with Kurt Angle today. He addressed a number of topics including what he'll do when his TNA contract expires next year (next September), his thoughts on Shawn Michaels, Triple H & Vince McMahon, TNA making his match at Hard Justice with AJ Styles last month "complex," and more.

His plans when his TNA contract expires: "When my contract comes up I'm going to be doing some MMA, so there it is straight up. At present I am leaning toward TNA, but I will choose whatever company is in my best interests."

How he will make his decision: "My decision will rely on how I feel about the company, and I feel pretty good right now about TNA. It comes down to where I feel I am able to fill the greater purpose. Right now TNA is the better way to go, I like being the top guy here and helping them grow."

If he'd return to WWE: "If I did go back, which is a very slim chance, my schedule would be a lot less. I just can't do it, I've wrestled twenty two years in amateur wrestling and eight as a pro. It just won't happen."

His feelings on Shawn Michaels and Triple H: "My anger has passed. I don't blame Shawn or Triple H for what I went through. When it was time for me to get help, instead of shouting out I kept my mouth shut., Trip and HBK are two of the best wrestlers who ever lived. I harbour no animosity towards them. McMahon is a billionaire who wishes he had a gold medal in the Olympics. I may not have the money, but I am a valuable commodity. He knows, and I know."

His feelings on Vince McMahon: "He is the smartest, most intelligent, and most successful promoter of all time. Him and I have had our ins and outs, and it's almost come to blows, but Vince and I have a mutual respect for each other. I know how good he he is at what he does, and he knows how good I am. No-one can break that bond, not Jeff Jarrett, not Dixie Carter. It's like a father-son bond."

TNA complicating his match with AJ Styles at Hard Justice: "We had a match at Hard Justice - I wanted to have a straight up match, one on one, but at the very last second they came to us and told us that it would be last man standing. Then they changed the rules - we had to pin each other, then after that he has ten seconds to get up, and it was all starting to get too complex."

More on TNA booking: "We have to make the fans understand what we are doing. All of a sudden we have to have a pinfall??! We are trying to be innovative, but sometimes we can be a little too innovative, and it can backfire on us. It's better to be simple so the fans understand."

So what happened to "Fuck you Vince!" from "The Real Angle" TV show promo huh Kurt? Anyway, he made good points about the TNA booking, but I think he used a bad example because his match with AJ Styles at Hard Justice was fuckin awesome. But I do get what he is saying, because lots of the fans were confused about why they were using texas death rules for a last man standing match.

Thoughts?

I think one of two things causes this:

It could be that they will have the angle with Jarrett addressing angle (which is already confirmed) and have it be that Angle wants out of TNA, but Jarrett won't let him out of his contract. That would be pretty cool.

If that isn't it, I think Angle secretly wants to come back to wwe, and that's why he is acting nicer now, and kissing everyones ass. I honestly think he is coming back to wwe when his contract is up.

I agree. I mean, I thought that he was really hurting at this moment in time, with his nagging injuries. If thats true, then wouldn't he consider his welfare instead of how good he thinks TNA is in terms of re-signing with them?

Hmmm he wants to make his mind up. Not too long ago he was slagging Vince, HHH, HBK off now he is all cool with them and doesn't have any grudges. I don't know what he is up to or were he wants to end up be MMA or WWE. If it is indeed a worked angle with Jarret then good way to go angle wise make things seem pretty real. But if it ain't bet TNA wont be to happy to hear this sort of talk for WWE and big players with in it.

Oh yeah isn't his neck in pretty bad shape. I imagine that wont hold up too long in a MMA environment. With all the choke holds and locks they could use on his neck. Oh well we shall see come next sept time eh.

If Kurt comes back to WWE, he will fullfill the gap that was left by Benoit. His style is needed in the WWE today more than before due to lack of superstars and alot of injuries.

Kurt Angle in one crazy little man who likes to hear his own voice knowing nobody is actually listening.

I don't think Angle will be happy until he's completely in a wheelchair. Seriously one bone jarring kick or punch could cause some serious whiplash on his neck.

I read Angle said he was going to go to MMA after TNA. That was a bit of a lol.

But yeah, Angle has definitely changed his tune. Either he wants in with the WWE or TNA have asked him to do this as part of the storyline.

I am starting to think more and more than all this interviews are actually a work to add heat to the Jarret vs Kurt feud.

Said it before, but 99% of pro-wrestlers will get destroyed walking into MMA without a long-term (and I mean long!) training program before they debut as they're not used to taking proper kicks and punches.

If Angle DID re-sign with WWE... Anyone else wondered whether the crowd would resume the "You Suck" chants? LOL

Does he have a split personality or what?

In one interview he whacks Triple H and Shawn Michaels saying that these two guys are some of the worse wrestlers in the industry. In another interview he calls them the greatest wrestlers in the industry. In one interview he says Vince McMahon sucks, he let him down and didn't use him properly when he was wrestling for Vince and he won't ever return to the WWE and in another he comes down to a "slim chance" of returning to the WWE.

I don't understand this guy, seriously.
