The good old Double Double E! Loved by most, hated by others. What is one of the most common complains you hear about it? Vince's fixation with big men.

Another complain is that WWE always have the same main event, with the same wrestlers being on it constantly.

But when you hear some of the bashing you hear to certain wrestlers when being the chance of being on top, you can't help to ask yourself what the hell does this people want.

So, big men only win belts? Rey Mysterio became champion. Yeah, some people bashed his pathetic title reign, but what is the thing most people bash about him...he doesn't belong in main event

Now, it's Brian Kendrick. When he was a jobber, people whined because he was a jobber. Now, that he is in a main event, what do we hear? Why in the word is he in a WWE Championship Match? Yeah, some people hit it right on the head and question he is not build up for it, but the most popular complain is that he doesn't, and will never, believe in a main event.

So, let me get this straight, you are sick of the HHH's, Batista's, Cena's main eventing, but you don't like it when Rey Mysterio and Brian Kendrick main event?

The IWC will always bitch and moan. They'll root for someone to win the belt, then turn on them within a week. You don't have to like it (I don't), but you pretty much have to get used to it.

Also, wrong forum.

Wow, I was wondering why it's in here(The news section)... But anyways, I agree. I am very anti-news sites as well, and they really do bactrack everything they say. Their opinions never stick, and if something they want to happen, happens, they cange their opinion, to make news.
So yeah, good thread.

That's a huge jump from cruiserweight to heavyweight though. Most main events are heavyweight, naturally cruiserweights don't belong with heavyweights. People want guys like Benjamin, MVP, and Hardy in the main event. I don't think anyone wants any cruiserweights in the main event. What do I know though? lol

I personally am LOVING the fact that Kendrick is in a world title match, even if it's just a scramble. He's got talent, and now we know that he can speak, so he's right where he belongs right now.

The mistake you seem to be making is refering to the IWC as an individual person. The IWC is always going to contradict itself because the IWC is millions of people with different opinions. Some people want Triple H to hold the title until he dies, while others are sick of him and want someone like Rey or Jeff or Kendrick to hold the WWE title. Some are sick of HHH vs. Orton while others live and breath that feud. Of course the IWC is going to contradict itself; it's more than one person.

If anyone is bitching about THE Brian Kendrick, they probably just don't know what to like. The guy is a breath of fresh air, and at least he isn't another big body builder from the beach, he's an actual wrestler. Rey Mysterio was pushed as an "underdog" which is why his Title reign wasn't so good, but at least he got one and I was happy about it. I get your point though, people on the IWC do contradict themselves, probably because they are just used to bitching constantly.

And hopefully this gets moved soon

I find it hilarious when someone says, "Vince only pushes big men." What? Who? If this was the case, we'd be seeing Chris Masters in the ME instead of unemployed by the 'E, we'd see Paul Burchill being used correctly instead of jobbing, we'd be seeing The Great Khali actually winning some matches for a change, we'd be seeing Vladimir Koslov in an actual fued instead of limbo, and so forth. It's a huge contradiction, and it's SO late 80s, really. Some of the biggest players in the 90s and early 2000s were hardly big men.

Regarding the ME pushing, it depends on whom; it's not the mere principle of being thrusted into ME. Some folks have certain expectations of whom they want in the ME, and if it's not abated, they'll complain, plain and simple.

It's great to see "smaller" guys get pushed, and I think this could become a trend now. In general, WWE doesn't even have that many guys that are that small, and most (not all) of the WWE's development roster are generic guys with the same physique. The smaller guys will always stand out, for better or for worse. and actually having a smaller heel like the Kendrick is good too. but I hate Rey Mysterio's last 3 career years, so that's my only complaint.

Great Thread. I agree completely. Everyone was asking why Brian Kendrick doesnt get a push, he's one of the most talented? So Vince decides to give him a new gimmick because his regular gimmick has no credibility to it. His Londrick gimmick he was basically destined to lose to any upper midcarder now that he's The Brian Kendrick people dont think he deserves it. This isnt even the only time. People say how MVP, Kennedy, Jeff, Shelton, Punk and many others deserve a push. Now that Punk has the WHC everyone doesnt like the fact he has a push. Now that MVP is in a WWE Championship match theres a thread asking if he's ready. It's the same way anybody ever gets pushed. I'm gonna have to agree with Kurt Angle when he called all of us hypocrites a few years ago.

You cannot lump the IWC together and pick and choose their opinions and declare a contradiction. Some people enjoyed the Mysterio title run, some did not. Some thought he was ready, some did not. Some people like that Kendrick is main eventing, some do not.

You refer to the IWC as "you" as if one single body of high-ranking IWC members will respond to you with their verdict. The internet community has a diverse spectrum of opinions.

You can't compare the opinion of IWC Member A to the opinion of IWC Member B and say that they are contradictions. They are different people. Of course the opinions won't always match up.

^^^^Well done for having the will to re-re-re-explain that to those that don't seem to get it!

Addressing the topic of the most noted complaints in this thread, personally, I am on BOTH sides of the size debate...

Seen waaay too many imbobile, uncharasmatic useless lumps of human flesh on WWE tv over the years and understandably have a gripe with Vinces perceived love of big guys, but when pushing the likes of Rey or Kendrick they need to find a way to make them look like a plausible threat whoever/whatever it is they are gunning for... More often than not when WWE conciously choose to make an "exception to the rule" (which to me, despite whatever creative decisions were made, was what Rey's title reign was) it sticks out like a sore thumb, leaving the angle feeling un-plausible....

We are reaping the seeds sewn by Vince back in the 80's... To address the big/man small man thing they need to look at the bigger picture and address peep's pre-conceptions on a wider, long term level.... i.e. slowly vary the whole upper card 'landscape' so that when they have got someone like Rey that they wanna push for a succesful ME title run, there won't just be multiple 300+ pounders for match-up/fued options.

Only then, maybe size WON'T matter.
