Figured were on a role with the dedicated member that we have in the MMA section voting every time so why stop the momentum. Brandon Vera comes in with a disappointing 7.09, putting him at dead last. Next we move on to former UFC Middleweight Championship, Rich Franklin.

Martial arts background

According to Franklin, he first learned submission fighting from instructional video tapes.[citation needed] He has been associated with and trained with Meat Truck Inc., and currently trains at facilities run by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Jorge Gurgel, (New Generation Martial Arts); Neal Rowe, a Muay Thai instructor (Sacan Martial Arts); and Rob Radford, a boxing instructor (Boxing 4 Fitness). Franklin is currently ranked as a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Jorge Gurgel.[citation needed] Since losing his title to Anderson Silva, Franklin has started training under Matt "The Wizard" Hume.

MMA Fight Record
-23 and 3
-12 Knockout Victories
-9 Submission Victories
-Former UFC Middleweight Championship

Amazing fighter easy 8.5 from me.

8.5/10 As well he's like one of the few that gave Silva a challenge. Hopefully he gets back on track.

8.7/10. Franklin is fucking awesome and often overlooked. His three loses were to anderson silva (2) and Lyoto Machida.

I'd like to see a rematch between machida and franklin thouhg. Franklin has beat many good fighters including ken shamrock.

Rich Franklin is one crazy bastard in and out of the octogon, so I give that guy a solid 8.6. He proved himself as a good champ, but much like GSP, has quite the way to go to get more up the list.

I'll go with a 9. There isn't much he can't do. Even when he loses it still doesn't feel like he's lost. Great all around fighter.
