-- Several business websites including the Wall Street Journal have picked up WWE’s press release about John Cena’s emergency surgery yesterday. The release notes he went under the knife for “injuries received during last Sunday's SummerSlam(R) Pay-Per-View match.â€￾ As previously noted, this is just an angle, and he actually had the nagging injury prior to the match.

Dr. Joseph Maroon, who performed the surgery, said that Cena could start working out as early as next week and should be back in the ring in the next 2-4 months. The earliest you can expect him back would be Survivor Series or at the latest, The Royal Rumble 2009.

So this Rumble 09 stuff ? Hope it doesn't happen, because I don't want another number 30th entrant winning again....

(sorry if this was posted haven't been here for a few weeks and just got back yesterday)

If he does return in the Royal Rumble, he will pull a 2002 Triple H. He will be on Raw maybe a week or two before hand and then announce he is in it. Hope he is number one that would be cool as hell and it's down to him at the end and number 30 is Batista. lmao

^that would be a cool idea, amagine Superman going 1 to 30 again like Mysterio did... amazing lol, but I see Batista winning it again though if it came down to those two

but than again if he does come back at Survivor Series at earliest because he is superman and can heal fast :shifty: lol, I see him probably being a surprise pick as a fifth man for some classic survivor series elmination match. ?

I wouldn't be surprised if he came out at Unforgiven and blindsided Mysterio for taking his spot :shifty:

But in all seriousness, he kicks ass and hope he gets better. I have been following him and Orton since day 1, they are both my fav's, but I am pissed both are out at the same time. Will Cena be back before Orton?

I think maybe...but I could be wrong depends if when Cena is coming if its SS or RR there is a pretty decent gap between but Orton might be somewhere in the middle and I don't know for sure but I think Cena is before Orton. But probably don't quote me on it.

Earliest is Survivor Series and latest is Royal Rumble. Both are pretty big PPVs. They might save Cena if he isn't able at Survivor Series and bring him back at the Rumble. Talk about no creativity, geez.

wait so what your saying is you want him to come back as HHH (your first post) like in 02 and announce him being the rumble entrant but no matches from him until the rumble ? but you want it to be announced at SS and for two months Nov - Jan no matches and return at RR ? im kinda lost but if that is what your saying I don't like it lol

No if he doesn't come back at Survivor Series, if it's too early, they should hold it off all the way until a couple weeks before the Rumble. They advertise his return to Raw and Cena comes out and announces he is in the Rumble. Maybe a little confronation with Batista too, that would be cool.

I don't know, they've really watered down Survivor Series the last two years.

I don't want to see Cena win the Rumble for a second year in a row, and I think the WWE is smart enough to think the same way. They should just have a Tista vs Cena rematch, with Tista finally turning heel

yeah... I would love to see Batista turn heel, but would Orton be by his side?

He'll return for Survivor Series, as it will be in his hometown. He'll probably be ready to wrestle way before(he was already doing visits the same day he had surgery...seriously, this way has to be on something), but will be held off for that big babyface hometown pop.
