- Dave Meltzer is reporting that fans who attended Jeff Hardy's cancelled appearance at Best Buy yesterday in Rockford, IL were told that Hardy suffered a broken neck on Tuesday at the Smackdown tapings and could not be there. Hardy also missed the weekend house shows which he was advertised for as well. WWE.com is still advertising Hardy vs MVP for Summerslam on Sunday.

If this is true, this is not Hardy's year. You have to feel sorry for the guy, holy crap. I don't know how it could have happened though, he did do two Swantons very close to one another. This is not good for anyone if he really did break his neck. I mean SD is out with Kennedy, Umaga, and now Hardy, not to mention the latest releases. Plus, Hardy's WWE title dreams have just faded further. You know how long he will be out for if this is real?

Jeff Hardy and Mr. Kennedy are really really racing to see who can sink their careers faster. First one to get 3 drug suspensions and ten career injuries is the new Kevin Nash!

But he has had multiple drug violations, noshowing of several TNA events when he was in it, and drug violations while in the WWE for his first stint. They're kind of like reversals of each other. Hardy has a big drug history and little injuries, while Kennedy has a big injury history with little drug violations.

Poor Jeff. I'll admit, I'm not a fan of his, but once again it looked like he got his shit together, and then this happens. Here's hoping its not actually a broken neck, and that its something a bit less serious.

Sorry for the double post...

Jeff Hardy apparently has suffered some sort of elbow injury. He had fluid in his elbow on Tuesday and was pulled from the weekend house shows but is still scheduled to wrestle at Summerslam tomorrow. [WrestlingObserver.com]

Lol, wut?

I don't think anything involving a broken neck is fake, I don't care how far Vince McMahon's head is up his ass. You can fake a death, but faking a neck injury is pretty serious. You die, you don't have any pain, you break your neck you are fucked and have to live through it.

Hardy may have noshowed the superstar appearance and the event promoter may have made up a last minute excuse why he didn't show?

^exactly dude... theres no way he'd even be able to move his head if he broke his neck, he'd most likely be out for quite some time... he just bullshitted an excuse to get out of an appearance

i really hope this is fake. im going to SS and Jeff vs MVP is the match im looking forward to the most except for the HIAC match. if he really is hurt i wouldnt mind a US Title match between MVP and Shelton either though.
