The Wrestling Observer has reported that Freddie Prinze, Jr. has been assigned to work on the Smackdown brand. Michael Hayes will be taking him under his wing and working closely with him to teach him as well as co-write the show. Therefore the SD team now consists of Hayes, Prinze Jr., and Chris "Big Dick Johnson" DeJoseph.

Here are the top units shipped figures for the company's DVD releases so far this year: Wrestlemania 24 (305,000), Triple H (233,000), "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (221,000), The Rock (160,000) and The Hardys (140,000).
Well, he shouldn't be able to screw up SD :shifty:

I'm surprised Hunter's DVD outsold Austin. Maybe he tampered with the figures >_>

That would be funny as hell.

I think Prinze, Jr should do good as an actor-writer, because as his experience in acting goes, im sure he has definetly seen some weird shit/scripts. He will definetly be the man.

I'm actually more surprised that HHH's dvd outsold the Rock's than Austin's. This was HHH's first dvd and I believe Austin already had one come out so that doesn't surprise me. To my knowledge the Rock hasn't had one prior to this one. I got the Rock dvd and it was solid, but it didn't have any commentary from the Rock which was disapointing. Presonally I thought trips was a little better because he kind of took you behind some of the things that were going on behind the scenes.

Merely being one of m-a-n-y mediocre Hollwood actors is there anything in particular about Prinze Jnr that would suggest why WWE have hired him specifically?
