Well I'm going to start off by saying that I think it is a stupid decision to take the belts off Cody and DiBiase just to bring something to the match between Batista and Cena at SummerSlam. This whole Tag Title thing has been done before, and it was never the best storyline to begin with. So IDK why it will be this time around.

Anyway, it appears that this is how they want to build one of the bigger feuds of the century. I know this won't be their only match, but I'm still saying the titles were needless lol. I also think that it seems clear that Cody and DiBiase will get their belts back after Team Babyface disagree with each other, thus resulting in a quick roll up from one of the kids, and some 'awesome build up to the rivalry'.

Like I said earlier, I know this won't be their last match, but I feel the hype for their first match has been very lacklustre, and that they maybe should have held off on the first encounter a bit, by just teasing the feud.

Thoughts on this whole Cena/Batista thing?

Fuck it! ...The arrival of Priceless seemed doomed to me as soon as I knew they'd split Londrick & Cantino, leaving Raw with just 2 teams on their roster.

Please put us out of our misery and unify the tag belts.



They should just have Batista turn heel injur Cena in order to leapfrog him for the #1 contendership and have them face of for the first time in a grudge match at WM (or alternatively show some patience and just have Batista somehow screw Cena in a final 2 situation @ the RR09).... I'm totally up for more complex storylines and drawn out fueds, but when WWE willingly trash things around them just cos they can't wait for the right moment and resist putting their two golden-boys together, well, quite frankly... This is bollocks!

Seriously, why the fuck have I been watching Cody & Dibiase for the last 2 months? They needed to be dominant if they were gonna build them both in this scenario... Whether they regain them or not, it's now clear they'll just team for a bit longer and then split and fued (Cody probably reverting to being the face and failing miserably to get over).

The sickening part of all this is that Cena & Batista don't even need any kind of gold involved to have a good fued/match.

I'm just glad that Rhodes just lost the title..lol and in my opinion there's a 90% chance that this will end up like the cena michaels fued. There gona lose their title cause they argue in the ring and lose it to some tag team to have a new rival with rohdes and ted. 10% chance that this tag team Batista and cena will last..LOL yeah right

imo i think that Rhodes and DiBiase were bringing the tag division back up. Main Eventing Raw multiple times in good matches and having the best heel champions since Rated RKO. They couldve had a good feud with Cryme Tyme to build up to a match at some PPV and add more to the Titles but they go and put it on two of their biggest superstars thinking that it will help. This is a stupid move by WWE and at least the 4th time weve seen this storyline. It's getting old

Guys guys guys, we don't know what will happen in the next 2 weeks. Maybe Cena and Batista will defend against DiBiase and Rhodes, and due to an argument, they lose the titles.

Give the WWE a chance ffs.

Its bullshit! I understand that this has been done before, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. Rhodes and Dibiase were coming into their own as tag champs, and they drop the belts to a make-shift team to build up a match... THAT DOESN'T NEED ANY TITLES INVOLVED!!

Once again, the tag titles (Hell, the tag champs) are relegated to being nothing more than a prop to build up another feud.

By the way. Does anyone truly believe that Cena and Batista need the belts to be more over with the fans?

I'm not particularly happy that Priceless lost the belts, but I suppose they can win them back the night after Summerslam. That might be a stretch of thinking, but meh, I'd love to see Batista finally turn heel on Cena. If it went down like that, I'd be extremely happy. But like I said, it's kinda of wishful thinking.

But if there's any good that came out of this, at least Ted and Cody looked good out there.

Man seems like I remember seeing this before. Oh wait yea that's right they did the same thing leading up to the Micheal's vs. Cena match at Wrestlemania. Hell didn't they even do a similar thing with Miz and Morison. Not going to complain about that one though cause it turned out to be amazing. Kinda lame that they go and redo this. Might have been cool back in the day. But to throw two big people togheter this far into there careers is just plain stupid.

As many of you have already said, we've seen this before and its been done to death. Cena and Batista don't need the World Tag titles to build up their feud, and I'm sure them winning the belts isn't going to make the feud any better. I'm not crying about it, but its definitely not something I would do

Yeah don't see why the belts have been used to fuel this feud there is no need for them to take the belts. And yes more than likely priceless will regain them in a couple of weeks but it will be way of a steal or quick roll up it wont be by a credible win to gain momentum from it. Because they wont want the two almighty fan favourite CENA or TISTA look anyway weak, so indirectly this little halt on team priceless has dented there credibility a bit. Lets hope they build and push them back up quick and strong.

^ahhh good point... and I kinda like them as champs... with this rush of the feud, I think they upped it a little bit, if they lose it the night after SS to Rhodes/DiBiase (which is when im going to Raw) thatd be kinda cool to see in person, watch them explode... hmmm who to root for

Talk about overreaction.

When this happened, I immediately thought of Batista and Mysterio winning the tag belts back in '06 (I believe it was '06) from MNM. Shortly after another program, they dropped the title right back to MNM.

Surely Batista and Cena will drop th straps back to Priceless, which will only serve to put over the young tag team in the long run. And let's not pretend that Priceless haven't already gotten a rub from their opponents. They looked INCREDIBLY strong against two main eventers on Raw.

Let this play out. To say that the tag team division is dead is not only ignorant, but quite idiotic.

Yes. As little as Cena entertains me, long gone are the days of the mixed reactions. Cena is a hugely over face, who was getting better reactions that both Punk and Batista on Raw.
