To update you on Brian Kendrick’s new gimmick that he worked under at last night’s SmackDown taping, Kendrick worked as a heel with a large African American bodyguard. Kendrick’s bodyguard is Rycklon Stephens, a WWE developmental talent billed at 306 lbs. According to our correspondents in the arena, Kendrick was wearing what looked to be an old white Shawn Michaels leather biker-like jacket. Apparently the gimmick change was to give him a distinct identity now that he is working as a singles wrestler as opposed to a tag team wrestler with Paul London. Regarding his push, I have been told for months that WWE management has had bigger plans for him.
Interesting. Well, at this point i'm happy with any push for him. We need more high flyers in the ring, and Kendrick is one of the best WWE has. And he's 29, so they need to push him before he winds up like Rey and can't do a hurricanrana without ripping his trapezius muscles in half.

Yeah!!! It's about time London or Kendrick got a personality but I don't think Kendrick will be able to get above the midcard but if the gimmick does work then there'd surely be a feud with HBK somewhere down the line which has me asking myself if 1) HBK is going to SD, 2) He is gonna take a bit of a backseat and go down the card a bit like Flair did before his retirement angle started and 3) WWE have big plans for Kendrick.

Good stuff there by WWE and I think HBK is one of the only "impersonator" storylines would really work with apart from "fdark" characters like 'Taker and Kane.

Huh? London was trained by Michaels, so he could be in it, but what;'s that have to do with Kendrick? lol.
Unless you meant Kendrick at ringside, but that would be stupid cause he has nothing to do with Shawn (as far as I know) and he's on a different brand.

Anyways, this is sorta cool. he;s not gonna be anything big, but we all know he can have good matches, and this will add him a bit of personality, and probably throw him into the midcard.

No i just meant it would be kinda awesome to see both guys get a push after the split...On account most people thought they would just job and fall of the map right away...If you catch my drift...

^Oh ya, I get ya man. Ya, it would be good to see them both doing something, bu trealistically, I think Kendrick will be the one that actually geets over and does stuff.

yea im 1 of the 1's that thought that london and kendrick would just be jobbers after the break up but seems like kendrick wont at least, and i did think that kendrick would go back to the spanky gimmic and that some where soon cena and cryme tyme would form a stable and spanky be in it too, well we got the ctc but no spanky i want to see this new gimmic and elijah burkes too hopefully it does good for them

This is good news, at least they are spending time to give the guy a personality instead of using him as a jobber. Hopefully we can see him feud with Matt Hardy and eventually win the US Title

Brian Kendrick = HBK and Paul London = a basic Martty Jannetty ? Huh didn't see that coming..

Edit and oh yea this new african body guard = HBK's old body guard, a new version of Deisel

This is looking promising, and hopefully they continue to push him long term.

I don't think they would use Kendrick just to push a bodyguard...If they wanted to do that they would throw him with someone more over at the moment not someone in the making...It'd just be a dumb move on there part...
