Update on the Kane Storyline...Could it be Paul Bearer

Former WWE personality and "father" of Kane and The Undertaker, Paul Bearer, has posted a message concerning the Kane angle which began on Raw last Monday night. Many people have been emailing both Paul (real name Percy Pringle) as well as Wrestlezone, asking us if there is any truth to the idea that Kane may have been referring to Paul Bearer when he asked "is he alive or dead." For those of you who may not know, Paul Bearer was "killed" by The Undertaker at The Great American Bash in 2004 when he pulled a lever which dumped a vat of cement on his "father." WWE followed up on this event by saying that Bearer was in fact badly injured but not actually dead. This is what Percy Pringle had to say on his website.

"Was Kane's rampage last night about his cemented Father Paul Bearer?"

I want Taker on Raw man, Paul Bearer was cool, but what can they possibly come out with out of a Paul Bearer storyline? I mean is Bearer going to bring in Elijah Burke in his new gimmick? I don't see where this is going.

but Paul can come back that could be very cool.

This would be very, very interesting. I'd be a big fan of bringing Bearer back. I think that'd be some very exciting shit and a side of this angle that I hadn't thought of. First I thought it was Taker, then Vince, but now this idea makes a lot of sense. This could be a great new storyline. I'm very, very excited to see where this goes.

it could be good, but I hope if Bearer comes back, he won't be the end of the storyline. A new character, with a long build up would be great. I don't know, another brother, a son, a old cousin lol, but something just like when Kane made his debut. It was almost 1 year in the making, I was already a fan at this time, and it was truly great. I hope they can do the same kind of stuff

I came to this forum in Dec 07, from Feb 07 till than I was part of Wrestlezone and that place you could talk to people like Bearer some referee's dean malenko Masters and Eugene because the admins are friends with wrestlers and they ask them to become members I might have to have a look back there for some more information..If I get some Ill let you guys know. I don't think it was Paul Bearer who Kane was referring to, and I don't think Percy Pringle knew anything about it anyway, what would liekly happen would be Vince and the creative have something in mind, and if that does not pan out the way they hoped then they could very well use Bearer as a back up plan!

Personally I think and hope Kane is referring to the 'Old Kane' and then out comes James Mitchell, the guy who is the best manager in wrestling today, to be Kanes mouthpiece and it could come out that it was indeed Mitchell who got inside Kanes head and made him search for the 'Old Kane'

Tons of theories and speculations running wild as it pertains to the ending of Raw this past Monday and who Kane was referring to with the "Is he alive or dead?" comments. Paul Bearer posted a blog Tuesday teasing the fans with a potential return mysteriously saying that he couldn't answer the question of whether it was him or not Kane was talking about. However, Paul put up yet another post yesterday with a big "question mark" graphic and the headline, "Kayfabe is still alive...but is Paul Bearer?
