John Cena revealed last night in a live blog on WWE.com that he has recently recorded a single with Snoop Dogg that will appear on Snoop's MySpace page. Cena said that song led to the possibility of a ten song downloadable project with him, Snoop Dogg, Freddie Foxxx and Tha Dogg Pound.

Nothing else really of interest came out of the blog except Cena hinting that the storyline relationship with Mickie James is indeed over.

Good the Mickie/Cena thing is over but I wonder where it would have went.

WWE really needs to bring his rapping gimmick back.
I loved it when he entered the Royal Rumble in 2003 with that rap. It made me laugh my ass off tbh

oh please, please bring the rapper back. he was really funny and that thing with RVD at the Rumble was pretty fucking hillarious

Cena's rapping gimmick was great a few years ago, now he is your average hero to all the 4 year olds in attendance. Anyway, I'm sure his song is good...Cena actually isn't that bad at rapping tbh

Cena isn't bad, but I'd never listen to a Cena song for the simple fact that its John Cena, and I actually like the guy as a wrestler.

Cena ain't a bad rapper but damn I wished that he wasn't the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana of the WWE because he was funnier and better at rapping when he was heel.

VKM: " 'Bout time you made another album John... "

Cena: "Yes boss."

VKM: "Seeing as we paid all that money to Snoop @ WM, you'd best make the most of that hype and get him involved too."

I would have thought Freddie Fox - a PROPER MC! (...Say what ya want about Snoop... He's been a pop star, recycling his trademark lyrics for over 10 years whereas FF shunned the mainstream for the best part of 20 in favour artistic integrity.) - would have had far too much class than to get involved with such a commerically-driven (not, to mention un-musically driven) venture... I guess not. :(

As for Cena turing back to his rapper gimmick... Would make sense and allow WWE to tie it in with their marketing of cena via the music, but one thing that makes no sense is how they'd pull of the transition....

Sanitised, good guy, marine -> The Dr. of THUG-anomics...

They're polar opposites for fucks sake!

I cant see him going back to his kick ass rapper gimmick he has to much of a kiddie fan base. All the Lil dudes an dudettes love Cena he is a role model and all round good guy of the WWE. How the Hell can they turn him into DR of Thuganomics again with his sexual innuendo's his odd swear words near to the bone raps they couldn't with out losing his kid fan base, They could do a milder kid friendly version i suppose but that ain't gonna go down to well with the adults he would get slated.
