Wow, Im really shocked at how well SD turned out..... Kennedy, Hardy, HHH, JR and Umaga. Thats awesome if you ask me...
And Raw stayed solid with Rey, Punk, Batista and Kane, to add to Cena and Orton. IMO, wwe cleaned up nice here, and both brands look awesome! ECW got raped, but who cares? They did their job developing talent, and will keep doing that, but Raw and SD are the shows with exposure, and thats why they got stacked...

So with that being said, which show do you think will be the A show? Obviously Raw IMO, but what I mean to ask is, do you think SD will be on equal levels for entertainment now as Raw?

They can have Cena/Umaga, HHH/Edge, Edge/Kennedy, Umaga/Kennedy, MVP/Cena, etc, and thats a really bright future... So vote in the poll, do you think SD will be alot closer to Raw now?

I dont think they will. I don't really have much backup on why I think this. I just don't see them being like Raw. I do see them getting a little more ratings with The Game and Hardy. I don't watch SD as much but now that HHH is on ill probley tune in a little more.

I guess you made some respects on your post as Cena vs MVP and Cena vs Umaga cannot be done. They're on different brands.

I think that Raw will continue being book as the A Show, but HHH will gain Smackdown some respect. Remember how on promos HHH always puts his title as the very best, over every other title match, raping Smackdown. Now, that will be over.

I think WWE is trying to make Smackdown! a little more equal to RAW, and it is a very good decision. They already have shitCW as their B show, so Smackdown! and RAW should both be A shows. I love how WWE didn't even hide the fact that ECW got raped in the draft lol, I wonder if Tazz was starting to really get pissed haha

EDIT: Smackdown! needs to fucking ditch the Friday night timeslot RIGHT NOW. I almost never have time to watch it and I actually want to try and watch it on a weekly basis because of the wrestlers they got in the draft. Oh well, I guess this is why DVR's were invented

I just wonder if Smackdown is going to get more involved with the big angles, you know, instead of just getting them on the Raw Rebound, now that Triple H is on there.

Well, I think SD will be pretty strong, but still the B show. I mean they got some talent sure, but they still aren't quite up there with Raw.

I mean, Raw still has people like HBK, Cena, Orton and they now can also add Rey, Punk and Batista to that list. Raw is still number one.

I have always been a smackdown fan, Smackdown has the potential to make it better than raw with those rosters but most likely yes they will put on a good show but Raw will always be the big daddy of the wwe.

Not at all. Lets take a look at the Main Event scenes;

Raw; Orton, Cena, Batista, Taker(I assume), Rey, HBK
SD; Edge, HHH

You basically traded Batista, Taker, and Rey for HHH.

Traditionally, SD has had a stronger midcard. Is that still the case?

Raw; Punk, Kane, Jericho, JBL
SD; Hardy, MVP, Umaga, Show, Kennedy

I'd also give the edge to Raw. Three former world champions and the current MITB winner.

SD actually got worse in my opinion. Instead of some combination of Taker, Edge, and Batista. We will get HHH vs Edge. I guess its possible Kennedy and Hardy could step up to the main event, but I just don't see them competing with HHH. Show could step in, but does he want it?

I completely agree with that assesment. Some joker on another forum was trying to tell me that the main event scene on SD was now better than Raw and that SD was now the 'A' show. :laugh2:

btw, how do you assume that Taker is going to Raw?

^^^^All the rumors and the way Raw ended, point to Taker going over to Raw.

Even if Taker remains on SD, Raw still benefited more from the draft.

I'd take Punk, Batista, Rey over HHH, Umaga, Kennedy and Hardy any day.

If they turn Batista heel, Raw is going to be amazing. Cena vs Batista is more money than any other fued the WWE could possible put together.

On a side note, I feel sort of bad for Matt Hardy. Although I assume he will still do a lot of work on SD with the talent exchange.

Im going to start watching Smackdown now since they got HHH/Kennedy and the ratings might go higher because of Jeff/HHH/Kennedy.

Lol at CenaMark giving Kane that one day title run as a worthy list.

Anyway, SD will still suck. Its not the writers, its not the staff, its not the announcers, who now rock IMO, its not the rosters, its the TV Network. There is no way that they could pull the shit that they have done in the past. Blowing shit up, making the "I Love Cock" references on a free over the air family network. Thats why the promos are lame and few and far between. If you think HHH is gonna have a whole hearty promo on SD, yeah sure, maybe the first week, but half the shit HHH pulls will not fly on SD. Which is why they are moving networks. I dont know if it will help any, but they need to get on a network that will let them do the type of storylines that USA allows them to do.

Vince needs to get on SD more, and SD still got raped along with ECW. Edge needs to get off my damn TV. I am tired of every day seeing his face that he covers in that angry face shit he trys to work up for the camera that just makes him look like a douche bag. But no, SD will be exciting and fun to watch for the next couple weeks, then HHH will get old, etc.

I need cable, SD is still gonna suck....

RAW may still be the #1 show or whatever. But I know as a fan that has been dying to see something new for the past 5 years, I'm going to be glued to SD! every week.

I'm so fucking sick of the same old shitty main eventers of today. SD! is fresh. And to be honest, I doubt I watch RAW anymore unless something big happens.

HHH, Hardy, Edge, Taker, Umanga, Kennedy and MVP. There's a nice new cycle of main eventers.

How is HHH in the main event "fresh"? Since when is Kennedy, Umaga, or MVP a main eventer.

How are you so certain that Umaga, Hardy, and Kennedy won't be jobbing out to Taker and HHH like they have been doing for the past three years?

Your post is full of contradictions. You are "tired of the same old shitty main eventers of today" yet you include HHH, Taker, and Edge in your "new cycle of main eventers"
