Undertaker will return to television by crashing the wedding between Edge & Vickie Guerrero scheduled for a SmackDown taping in mid-July. He will then be plugged right back into his program with Edge and feud with him for at least the rest of the summer. If they don't have a match at The Great American Bash, then definitely at SummerSlam, although it looks like the wedding is happening before GAB, so they could hotshot it for that show too. There was a feeling that his feud with Edge needed to be put on the shelf for a little while, although he did have some nagging injuries to tend to. The feeling was that it was going to run out of steam without a major twist, hence the retirement storyline.

As noted earlier, despite his "retirement," Undertaker worked SmackDown's tour of Australia and New Zealand this past week. The decision for him to retire on television was a last minute move, but he had been advertised as the top star on the tour, so they decided to bring him on it. Tickets went on sale several months ago and the company drew huge advances everywhere, so a lot of fans were expecting to see him. The storyline explanation for his appearances on the tour has Shane McMahon coming out at the start of shows to say that he was talking with Vickie Guerrero and they agreed to let him have an "Undertaker farewell tour."

Sounds cool I guess, but how will they explain Taker's return? He was supposed to retire and then he randomly comes back, seems a little weird. I thought they would put him on RAW and say like "oh he retired from Smackdown! but not RAW" Anyway, I think it sucks that he is going to go ahead and fued with Edge AGAIN..but whatever, hopefully Taker regains the World Title

Thoughts?

Looks like I was right after all. What will that be, about 30 days after he left?

I would have atleast held him off until after The Great American Bash PPV, he just was bannished on June 1st and they're bringing him back mid-July? To early like Steve said.

It would kick ass if he came back as the American Badass. He would roll down on the motorcycle up the wedding ramp into the ring and crash the ceremony, man that would kickass. I read somewhere they're thinking about bringing back Big Evil, that was my favorite Undertaker.

Big Evil belonged on Raw. Doesn't WWE see the Deadman gimmick get stale? I mean Taker as champ did nothing for ratings, that's why they took it off of him. Fans have seen too much of the Deadman and deserve a change, thus the American Badass. More mic time, and having that awesome theme music.

If the wwe are going to do a storyline where someone leaves the business for good... FOLLOW THROUGH WITH IT..

Look at there history..

Flair retired off wrestling for good. What happened he is there this week on raw.
Taker is above..
Rey I quit stip he leaves wwe for good.. he returns 6 months later from injury..

there are more but I can't be bothered to remember.

Rey stip wasnt a one in which he left WWE, it was just a confusion with the promos. Chavo said both of them couldnt be on the same place, and so they should have an I Quit match, their jobs were never on the line.

As for Flair, kayfabe speaking, he is forbidden to wrestle. What would happen with Y2J wasnt an official match, just a good old brawl on the Parking Lot, no referee nor real rules/
