Welcome, to this week's edition of the RAW review. Hopefully, this show will be better than last week's "sub-par" offering.

We are live from Salt Lake City, Utah.

We start the show off with John Cena. He comes out and cuts a promo putting over the WWE, then says that he (And the fans) are excited for Night of Champions. He says that after NOC, one man will stand with his hand raised and say... THE CHAMP IS... Behold the KING!

HHH interrupts and starts ripping on John Cena. HHH mentions how Cena doesn't like to let his fans down, but that few of Cena's fans will see their match because it'll be past their bedtime (Oh that's right, HE WENT THERE!). Cena gets pissed, shoves HHH and both men are ready to fight...

Until Vince McMahon interrupts. He says that tonight's password is "Watch Raw and win" he asks Cena if he's ready to win, because he will face Umaga in a Street Fight, and its next! HHH wishes Cena luck, and its match time.

John Cena vs Umaga (Street Fight)

Both men slug it out at the start, but Umaga quickly takes over. Cena goes for a Scoop Slam, but Umaga falls on him and gets a 2 count. Cena rolls to the apron but Umaga knocks him into the guardrail on the outside.

COMMERCIAL!!!

We are back, and Umaga is still in control. Cena tries to fight back as both men are on the entrance ramp, and Cena walks right into a Samoan Drop. Umaga drags Cena to the ringpost and sits him up. He goes for the Running Ass Smash but Cena moves out of the way. Umaga makes it back to the ring, but John grabs a mic and smashes it over Umaga's head. Cena goes up top for a Crossbody, but gets caught and hit with the Spinning Uranage Slam for a two count. Umaga is still dominating and goes to the outside.

He rips apart the announce table and tosses a chair into the ring. Cena grabs and hits Umaga in the gut with the chair, hits the Throwback then hits the Top Rope Fame Asser. Cena goes for the FU, but his knees give out and he rolls out to the floor. Umaga goes after Cena and Irish-Whips him into the steel steps. He brings Cena back into the ring for a near fall. Umaga goes back outside and tosses the steel steps into the ring. He grabs the steps and is looking to take Cena's head off, but he walks into the FU and this one is over!

Winner:John Cena

After the match, Vince calls a dude, makes him bark and he wins some money (YAAAY!). Vince announces a Beach Biking Blow Out (GIGGITY GIGGITY GOO!)

Summertime Beach Bikini Blow Out

Maria, Eve Torres, Jillian, Layla, Lena Yada, Maryse and Melina are your participants. Your host is Charlie Haas (For real, dude).

All women look hot.. That's really all you need to know. Jillian tries to sing but Haas tells her to shut up. Either Melina, Layla, or Maryse should have won this, instead Maria wins.

Winner:Maria

Vince gives away 100 grand... Wasn't me, so I don't really care.

COMMERCIALS!!!

We get footage of Chris Jericho beating down HBK last week. Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes out (Rocking a suit) and he helps some dude win 50 grand. Jeff Hardy is out and he will compete in our next match.

COMMERCIAL!!!

Jeff Hardy vs Carlito (WOW, Carlito sure is getting buried :shifty:)

Both men lock up at the start. Carlito goes for an aerial maneuver, but Jeff ducks it and low-bridges Carlito to the outside. Hardy hits a Slingshot Plancha to the outside and throws Carlito into the ring. Jeff tries to come back in but is met by a stiff left hand by Carlito who follows up by hitting a rope-assisted Neckbreaker. Jeff tries to make a comeback but eats a Dropkick instead.

Carlito with a Bow and Arrow, Hardy escapes and hits a Mule Kick but misses on the Corner Dropkick attempt which nets Carlito a two count. Jeff hits a Jawbreaker and goes for the Twist of Fate, but he's shoved into the corner and placed on the Tree of Woe. Lito misses a Dropkick and Jeff hits the Whisper in the Wind for a near fall then hits a Facebuster. Hardy up top, but Carlito sees it coming. Jeff jumps over Carlito who goes for The Backstabber, only to have it countered into the Twist of Fate by Hardy. He follows up with The Swanton and gets the win.

Winner:Jeff Hardy

Vince congratulates Jeff, and some dude wins 175 Grand. Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring. Jericho is in the ring and he goes on to cut a DAMN GOOD promo which I really can't do any justice in this recap. He calls out HBK, then calls him a worm when he doesn't show up, instead, Jericho gets a surprise.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

DA NATURE BOY, IS OUT AND JUST AS FLAIR STARES DOWN JERICHO...

We get a commercial!!!

Flair rips the mic off of Jericho's hands and he tells him to shut up. Ric says that he can't wrestle because he's retired, but he challenges Chris to a Street Fight, RIGHT NOW! Flair goes to the back and Jericho follows. Ric heads to the outside. Jericho goes to open Door #1, but he opens Door #2 and gets the booby prize (Or HHH, I forget which one it was).

HHH tells Jericho that he's been looking for an excuse to wrestle Jericho (ZOMG BORKSTAGE POWARZ!). Jericho backs off and nothing happened between Flair and Chris :(

Commercial!!!

Backstage, Flair and HHH talk, and Ric says that he doesn't need Hunter to fight his battles. Vince pops up and has Flair escorted out of the building, he also announces HHH vs Jericho as the main event.

Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly vs Cryme Tyme (Non-Title Match)

Ted Dibiase Jr comes out. JTG is distracted, Holly rolls him up and this one is over. This is the type of match I like to recap >_>

Winners:Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly

Some lady wins 16 bucks.. HA-HA!

COMMERCIAL!!

We are back, and its time for some mixed tag-team action

Paul Burchill & Katie Lea vs Mr.Kennedy & Mickie James

Kennedy and Burchill slug it out early, but Kennedy hits a Back Body Drop. Burchill comes back with some Clotheslines, then locks in an Ortonlock. Kennedy escapes but walks right into another Clothesline. Another Ortonlock by Paul. Kennedy is sent to the corner and boots a running Burchill in the face, then hits the Facewash and gets a nearfall. Katie tags herself in, then Mickie comes in and takes down Katie. Mickie hits some Forearms, a Clothesline then hits a low Dropkick for a 2 count. Mickie goes up top but is distracted by Paul and he gets speared trough the ropes by Kennedy. Mickie miss the Thesz Press from the top, Katie hits a Modfied Backbreaker (Michael Cole'd) and gets the three count (Sadly, No Evan Karagias :().

Winners:paul Burchill and Katie Lea

Vince calls some lady and she wins close to 175 grand.

Commercial!!

Vince gives away more money, and some dude wins 75K. JR and King rundown the line-up for Night of Champions. Vince announces he will give away 300 grand later. Backstage, HHH bumps into John Cena who wishes him luck in his match.

COMMERCIAL!!

Vince gives away the money, no one cares.. MAIN EVENT TIME (They do care about this, though).

Chris Jericho vs HHH (Champion vs Champion.. with no titles on the line)

Jericho dominates a large portion of the match until HHH send him Shoulder first into the ring post and we get a commercial break. We come back and Jericho hits an elbow on HHH that sends him to the outside. Dropkick through the ropes by Jericho, who then smashes HHH's head into the ring steps. Back in, and Jericho is choking out HHH with his boot. Chris charges towards Hunter, but gets knocked down by a HUGE Clothesline. Both men slug it out, and HHH takes over after hitting the High Knee. Jericho avoids the Face Crusher and goes for the Walls, but HHH kicks his way out of that predicament. HHH hits the AA Spinebuster and goes for The Pedigree, but Jericho counters and hits the Bulldog. Jericho misses the Lionsault attempt, and HHH once again goes for The Pedigree, but Chris counters with a Back Body Drop. HHH rolls to the apron and Jericho goes for a Springboard Dropkick but misses. HHH pummels Jericho on the outside, but Lance Cade (LANCE F'N CADE!!!) comes out and attacks HHH causing the DQ.

Winner by DQ:HHH

Both Jericho and Cade continue to beatdown HHH until Cena comes out to make the save and take out the heels.. HHH ends up hitting Cena and both men brawl until Cade and Jericho recover. Lance hits the Sit-down Spinebuster on Cena, and Jericho hits The Codebreaker on HHH as the show comes to an end.

Best Moment of the Night:WOOOOOOOOO! Ric Flair showing up!

Worst Moment of the Night:The Giveaway is STILL boring!

Overall Thoughts:Take away the Giveaway, and you have a show that was much improved from the previous week. Cena vs Umaga was the usual fun encounter between both men. The Diva bikini contest was what it was. Carlito vs Jeff Hardy was another good match in which Carlito was NOT buried, both men ended up looking good. The Jericho/Flair promo was GREAT and it helped set-up the main event. The mixed tag-match was fun, it keeps the Kennedy-Burchill feud going, and now Katie has two wins over the Women's Champ. The Main Event was the usual good showing you would expect between HHH and Jericho and the surprise interference shows that WWE maybe, just maybe is trying to build up new stars. Some people might not like Cade (I do and that's all I care about >_>), but give credit to WWE for trying something different. Easy thumbs up for RAW this week.

Remember to read Kaedon's NSZ and his SD review, as well as yours truly ECW review. Until next week, I am out... AND GO LAKERS!!

I agree with your review SP. This raw was definately better than last week. Most matches were good, and they all did their job... I also agree with you about Cade, and it seems like they are trying to push him.
The usual good review from you, keep it up.

Yeah having Umaga jobbing to a druggie wearing a toilet tissue paper hanging down from his back pocket of his pants was not neccessary imo :smh

But on the other hand, Ric Flair's appearance was the best moment as you said SP. I wished that they gave us more from Ric though.

Good read there soulpower.

Heres a couple things I noticed last night....none of them that important

1. For the Million dollar giveaway, They fixed the phones so that the sound of the button tones could not be heard....which is probably a good thing since phone numbers can be decoded that way.

2. During the Ric Flair/Jericho exchange the camera got in real close and I could hear Jericho say to Flair off mic... "Take it from me...Right??" Seconds later Flair grabbed the mic away from Jericho

3. At the end of the Diva's bikini....show or whatever it was, Mr. McMahon told all the ladies to do a little dance or something. Which Melina appeared not to feel comfortable doing...and gave a look like "What is the point of this?" After that, It got me thinking that there may be a "Diva's Revolt" angle planned in the future. Where all the Diva's
"Rebel" against bikini dances...a form of protest to be taken more seriously. When you consider the competiton they are facing from the Knockouts, This would make sense...

4. Overall I liked this weeks RAW

LOL I thought I heard something like that. But seriously, if they wanted to put Ric Flair on the show, they could've at least put him in action.

What if they make Ric the new GM on RAW when Draft Day comes...
That would be sweet
