OhhhhhhK...So we've seen the Rate the wrestler threads done over and over repeatedly...So when i was looking through the Pro-wrestling Insiders Report Card issue i bought a while ago i though maybe we should try this out on IWF to kinda spice things up...
So no the report card will be split into 5 section and after all votes are in i will get somewhat of a GPA and do the overalls for each superstar...So now for the five categories...and an explanation of which quoted from the issue...
Goal Achievement-"Goal Achievement refers to how well a wrestler has performed in relation to where he or she was last year at this time. For example, a wrestler who was recuperating from an injury a year ago may have had a goal of getting healthy and making it back to the ring, whereas a wrestler who enjoyed a banner year last year may have had an entirely different set of goals. Each wrestler's goals are unique, which means a mid-card competitor could theoretically score higher in Goal Achievement than a main-event talent."
Marketability-"Marketability refers to the wrestler's ability to capture the imagination of the fans. In short, can a promoter make money by having that wrestler on the card? We consider merchandise sales, TV rating, and overall charisma as some of the factors in determining this grade"
Repertoire-"Repertoire refers not only to the depth of a wrestler's move set, but also his or her judgment in knowing when to use the right move at the right time and not making tactical errors. Our editors view a lot of videotape to try to pick out specific bad habits certain wrestlers may use, and our attention to detail in this category has made plenty of wrestlers angry with us in the past."
Career Growth-"Career Growth is closely tied to Goal Achievement, but, generally stated, it looks at more of the big picture. Instead of grading wrestlers based on the things they've achieved over the preceding 12 months, this category looks at the direction they are heading. Regardless of your career-be it wrestling, sales, or what have you-if your career isn't growing your in a bad situation."
Overall Value-"Finally, there's the Overall Value category. A wrestler's scores in each of the previous four categories factors into our final determination of that wrestler's overall value, bu we also evaluate how valuable each wrestler is to their given promotion. A wrestler can score lousy grades in Repertoire and Career Growth but still be a vital asset to a promotion, which will give the wrestler a good grade in Overall Value."
So the way I'm going to do this is start with the superstars of Raw then ECW then Smackdown after that TNA then the independent promotions...The reason i stuck these in the actually threads where post count is cause I'm expecting people to put thoughts into the grades.
So tell me...What do you guys think...
