Smackdown Divas Title

Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! That's what I think about this title. Before anyone starts freaking out, no, its not that I hate women's wrestling (Quite the contrary, actually). Its stupid because WWE already has a SHITLOAD of belts including some that they don't care about. So what do they do? THEY ADD ANOTHER BELT!

Hey, here's an idea... Make the Women's title tri-branded! That way you have one title, and a pretty darn good women's division to boot. By the way, what's with calling it the Divas title?

I dont know if it would work tri branded. Then you would have about 10 (thats about how many divas can actually wrestle) divas fighting for one belt? I know other divisions have alot more competitors, like theres 20 midcard guys, but they arent all going for the title, they have feuds and storylines... With the divas, they dont usually have storylines, so all they can do for matches is go after the title, so having 10 divas go after 1 title would be pretty crowded.
Another reason they arent doing it is becqause I think maybe they want to go back to seperate brands now. Thats why theiir holding a new draft, and other than Batista/Michaels, all guys are on their own show (except the ecw/sd agreement), so they dont want divas on every show...

Nothing wrong with that IMO. You have the divas who actually wrestle, putting on good matches. This way, the bimbos who cant wrestle, dont ruin matches, and we get some good matches from beth, mickie, melina, Michelle, Natalya, etc. And then you have extreme expose, etc, as bimbos, to keep other people interested.
It all works out as long as you have both

What does everyone have against hot women? Jesus, do you all have to be politaclly correct now, and you cant say that you enjoy hot divas? Face it, your all probably jacking off to Torrie Wilson, but when you log on here, you wanna sound all proper and shit...

Not everyone watches wrestling to be titilated.

If I want sleaze or porn, I know where to get it and I know it'll be a damn sight more 'revealing' that what VKM can get away with showing on prime time TV.

Odd as it may seem, the 'flash the flesh' side of the Divas division, like much of the product atm, is ALSO aimed at kids hitting puberty (not that WWE would admit it)... I.E. a demographic that may get a chubb over a hot woman, but hasn't got immediate access to porno and such.


They're the one's with lifesize posters of Tori or whoever on their bedroom walls etc.....

But theres a difference between porn and just some hot divas...
See, IMO, if wwe was just throwing hot divas in the ring, to strip and prance aroudn and everything, and completely forgot about womens wrestling, I could see why people wouldnt like it, because it would be pointless...
My point is, right now, wwe doesnt even hae anything like that... Yes, they have some divas who dance or stuff, but its nothing like before... Only on occasion... So if they keep doing a few "hot" things with peopel liek Candice, Kelly Kelly, Layla, maryse, etc, every once in a while, like a divas competition and shit, thats fine by me, as its not sleazy porn, its just a few hot divas. But that should only be once in a while, and Im glad they are picking up on the wrestling now.
So my point is, I see some people getting so touchy over every little bit of sexuality from the divas... But theres no point... WWE is a variety show, and it needs to provide for all its viewers. So as long as it keep a balance, like 70 percent womens wrestling, 30 percent diva sexuality, theres really no problem, cause its got something for everyone (as far as the divas go anyways) And thats what I see from wwe right now. Some good matches, athletic divas, and some hot diva stuff only on occasion. Thats fine in my books.

And lol @ how this totally isnt even about the SD divas title now (but I already posted my opinion on havin gthe new title being a good thing, so ya)

Just wanted to add - I'm not some kind of right wing extremist who is completely against sex in the media or anything, I just don't enjoy the Diva matches as far as wrestling/story goes especially so can't quite justify them being there for me. I don't want to start some massive opposition

And anyway, as far as them not wearing much, I don't see people complaining about the guys not wearing much...

they should have one womens title and have only the talented wrestlers wrestle. like the ones i listed before but i forgot about Katie Lea. all of the others should just be arm candy to make the wrestlers look better

I don't Think it's a good idea. IMO id much rather have cruiserweight title back, or how about a totally outrageous plan maybe they could actually use and defend the titles they already got like Tag Team and Intercontinental before adding another title.

I think that the women's title should be open for challenges from any of the three brands that way we would see different and fresh matches with the divas off all brands getting airtime rather than two belts.
