List what You Consider several of your favorite and most of what you consider the Best-Build Up to Matches in Wrestling-history...
ya know...like the hype, storyline, emotion, angles, sneak attacks, etc...

Here...I consider the Rock/StoneCold Steve Austin -WM X-Seven Build-Up one of the best ever....two of the biggest draws, in their prime, both extremely popular....one title...all of that and such, plus the emotional drama, and the intense video-hype-promos and such with that "My Way" song from Limp Bizkit and everything.... :clap_1: just AWESOME...

and so like

nominate your favorite build-up to a match and such :y:

Holy shit

Jake, you should post serious stuff more often. I mean, the spam thing is fun, but it becomes pointless at times, feel me? You're actually a good poster when you want to be. Props son...

As to best build up, I'd say HHH vs HBK Three Stages Of Hell from a couple years ago. They hated the shit out of each other, and it actually made me want to buy the pay-per-view. It was worth it too, they beat the living hell out of each other.

HHH vs Cactus Jack, Hell in a Cell, was another match with great build. This was all back when feuds were super realistic, now they all seem pretty forced.

HHH / Foley - With McMahon helsmley era it was classic , foley being fired...
Kane / Taker - Taker never fighting his brother and all that stuff...
Rock / Austin
Austin / Vince
HHH / HBK
and a few more Ill have to think about and come back and edit...

Sting vs. Hogan from Starrcade-Awesome Buildup, crappy match.
Undertaker vs. Kane Wrestlemania 20-Their Wrestlemania 20 match was awesome with the mind games and freaking Kane out.
Steve Austin vs. Undertaker from Summerslam 98-Highway to Hell made that feud even better.

Kane and The Undertaker towards WrestleMania XX was just phenomenal, after the buried alive at Survivor Series when Undertaker was said to be dead and all that. Whenever Kane used to do his taunts, the lights went off and the horrid music played, they even did that during the Royal Rumble and all. The return was classic at WrestleMania XX and that had to be the best build-up for a match.

The fatal four way of WrestleMania 2000 having the McMahon family at ringside was phenomenal as well, all the stories with Shane and Vince going and the rivalry of Foley/HHH. Linda McMahon bringing back Foley it was great.

Stone Cold and Vince McMahon on RAW was shown as being really big and that was pretty good as well. The Rock/ Austin from WrestleMania 15 was big and so was it at WrestleMania 19 the last match of both Austin and Rock inside the ring. The Rock and Hollywood Hogan at WrestleMania x8 had a very good and vast build up. So did Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6 and who can forget the cage match between Bret Hart and Owen Hart at SummerSlam? The storylines with Stu Hart watching them and all was executed in a really good way. And speaking of SummerSlam, perhaps the biggest build up would be Triple H and Shawn Michaels in 2002, after the return of Michaels and the DX fake reunioun, Michaels getting a pedigree, it was all very good. Following the months was the Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series and Shawn Michaels had been injured with the hammer at SummerSlam and the big concept of Eric Bischoff was about to be revealed. That was historic at it's own place.

There are countless other build-ups and hype for matches and all of them have been very good, I can't really choose between them but I enjoyed the Rock/Hogan from WrestleMania x8 and the HHH/Michaels from SummerSlam pretty much more than the rest of them. Nonetheless all very executed in a great manner and all the matches did live up to the hype.

I loved the build up for Austin/Rock WrestleMania 17. I thought they planned it out perfectly and had a great match with a great twist.

Another one I liked was Hogan/McMahon WrestleMania XIX, just because they were building for this match for almost a year.

Undertaker/Kane Wrestlemania XX was well done too, with how Kane 'buried' Undertaker and than all the videos with the return of the Phenom.

Thats all I can think of, but I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

If i had to pick one it would be Bret Hart vs Steve Austin

Vince vs Austin was great, but it really once a real match.

HHH/HBK and TAker/Kane were notable too.

I agree with Kenfan. Austin vs The Rock wasn't just building up to a match, if felt like it was building up to the absolute peak of the Attitude Era. Hell, it was the climax to the greatest era in Pro Wrestling history (Popularity wise, at least).

How in the hell can you beat that?

Sting/Hogan takes this one easily. People don't bring it up because of the flopped match. Regardless, the feud, build up, and hype was legendary.
