The tide appears to be turning with many wrestlers as far as their desire to be on Raw or Smackdown. There was a time when most wrestlers wanted to appear on Raw because of it's status WWE's flagship show. While that's still true of most main eventers, there are more mid- and undercard wrestlers who would prefer to be on Smackdown due to the perception that they'll have more opportunities to climb the ladder.

Many wrestlers feel that Raw lead writer Brian Gewirtz is only concerned with pushing the same main event wrestlers, and critics point out that he's struggled to create new stars during his time in the company. "How the hell does anyone get over in two minutes?" one critic asked regarding some of the short matches that have been taking place on Raw.
This article = yes.

I agree with any wrestlers who say about getting better pushed on Smackdown... Smackdown is really "push central"... ECW isnt good for pushes cause its so packed for only 1 hour. But Smackdown has pushed alot of stars, and actually puts on some of the best matches. Look how MVP, Kennedy and Hardy have all been pushed and made a name on Smackdown... And also, Batista and Edge are getting great pushes on Smackdown as well, so I think the writers there give out more chances for wrestlers to climb the ladder.
On Raw, as was stated in that article, Brian Gewirtz seems to be doing the same guys over and over, and I cant remember the last time a star was created on Raw...

I prefer Smackdown... if I wanted to see HHH Vs. Orton/HBK on repeat I could simulate it myself.

So it is no surprise me that guys want to go to Smackdown more, endless more oppurtunity.

Well if they are saying that no new stars are being made on Raw jut look at Codey Rhodes and now Ted Dibiase Jr. Plus Iheard Ted's partner will be DH Smith so he will be getting a push as well. So I think new guys are beiung pushed on Raw

It's so true...Look what Raw has done to Kennedy he made it up the ladder on Smackdown...Got sent to Raw and had to start all over again...THere's just to much top notch wrestlers on Raw leavin no room for the smaller guys...

I hope this draft brings alot of main event talent to raw. Jericho would be a great addition he could be a main eventer on smackdown.

I have always been a smackdown fan through and through and maybe this is when Smackdown has its moment in glory when new people come and move up while Raw only has Orton / HHH / Cena

If that happens we'll be seeing HHH on smackdown soon...

And now Orton is out of the picture. Pray that Cena or HHH don't also get injured, or we'll have a repeat of the wonderful Year of SuperCena.

I really hope not i rather have it even not lopsided.

With the lack of titles on SD people have more of a chance to have a cool side mid card rivalry which would make them stand out more. Plus Raw has been hung up on HBK, HHH, Cena, and Orton for awhile.

I'd rather go to SD if I was anyone in the WWE, especially someone like Jeff Hardy, or Carlito, because they could get a push all the way to the top without having to run into HHH or Cena.
