TNA officials are looking to add some new talent to the roster. Two names that have come up are former WWE stars Joey Mercury and Johnny Parisi a.k.a. Johnny Swinger. Their names have come up several times, but management has yet to pull the trigger on them. Mercury worked a dark match before last year's Bound For Glory pay-per-view, but nothing came out of it. TNA road agent Pat Kenney a.k.a. Simon Diamond has been pitching for Swinger to come in. Swinger & Kenney used to be tag partners in ECW and TNA. Speaking of Kenney, he turned 40 years old last Monday.
No idea who Johnny Swinger is, but I do hope Mercury is hired. He sacrificed more than most people in that ladder match, and WWE just ditched him. I heard some rumor that it was because he was addicted to painkillers, and even if that's true, the addiction came from the LADDER TO THE FACE. Mercury is a great performer and I hope TNA gives him the deserved air time that WWE took away.

Yea I don't know who Swinger is either. Mercury would be a nice addition to the roster though, hopefully he gets signed

Mercury had already been suspended previously for drugs under the wellness policy. Its why MNM broke up and Nitro & Melina moved to Raw. Reguardless of why he may have gotten addicted to painkillers its not the WWE's fault he got addicted. I just love how you try to twist everything into making it sound like WWE is the big bad company. Truth is Mercury returned from that injury and even was perfectly heathy and still couldn't stop taking drugs (painkillers or whatever) and got his ass fired. Thats his fault and no one elses. WWE didn't take away anything. He took it away himself.

Though he does indeed deserve another chance. Everyone does. But do us all a favour and try to talk about things objectively instead of twisting everything to support you TNA ass kissing/WWE hating opinions.

And don't you forget Mercury was getting a nice little singles feud with Matt Hardy, so it isn't like WWE just made him sit on his contract and then fire him.

Parisi is a former Raw jobber who made appearances on Heat. He never really appeared on Raw but maybe once or twice. He was pretty cool though lol...

Mercury's the perfect fit for TNA IMO, so I'd like to see TNA make the execution and get some new talent. This tag team could be awesome.

Joey Mercury is pretty good in ring and ain't bad on the mic so I hope he is signed, I can see him in some good fueds and he mightbe better in TNA because he will be allowed to do more moves then in WWE, don't know about the other guy...

Yeah, Swinger jobbed on Heat. He also had a tag team in TNA in late 2004, something to do with New York. Trinity was their manager.

I don't see Matthews signing a contract tbh, he will just keep working their shows.
