I was reading this interview Paul Heyman did last week when he was talking about people who are underused in the business and he mentioned that the whole TNA roster was underused anyway after thinking about it I think Paul Heyman could be correct.

I mean you look at the TNA roster they have a great roster. a nice mix of young up and comers guys like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kaz, Jay Lethal, MCMG, LAX and so on , with some veterens like Sting, Kurt Angle and others. The negative part about is that TNA have zero marketing strategy. Nobody in the mainstream knows of the existence of TNA at all and when the mainstream thinks of Pro Wrestling they think that it's WWE. TNA does not exist in the mainstream and Heyman is right, TNA has done nothing to get attention in the mainstream. With guys like AJ who has the look some great moves marketing should made this guy the Next Hulk Hogan, they seem to have droped the ball with others like Joe(Damn I remember back in 2006 when this guy was like the hottest thing going in pro wrestling but they didnt push him instead they made Angle squash him and so on.

Other mistakes where the way they booked The Alpha Male( They should have never turned him heel when he was getting some of the biggest crowd pops back in 2005 and Jeff Hardy( I know Jeff has heard his demons but once again back in2005 he seemed to have his head screwed on and in my opionon should have beat Jeff jarrett at Victory road 04) Anyway thats what I thinkk about the matter dont get me wrong I am a big TNA fan anyway what do you guys think?

Its hard to say because underutilized and bad marketing are two different thing. Has TNA's marketing been great? No, but should it be that great? Probably not. Look at NWA/WCW it took them years to get a little attention. Even with signing Hogan they werent bringing in monster ratings. The WWWE wasn't big until 86 or so. To fault TNA for not being a mainstream company, with only being on tv since like 05 (and even then it was a very poor slot) is ridculous.

But is the roster Underutilized? Im going to go with no. Sure it could be better, but i dont think much of the roster is underutilzed. They always jam as many wrestlers in one show as possible. They have storylines (even for guys like sonjay dutt) They are using the veterns to help the younger stars.

So if i dont think its bad marketing and the roster isn't underutilized, than what the problem is? Their ratings have not shown much growth. I've said this for a while now, if they want bigger ratings, Go live. Right now, im thinking Move to Monday Night. But isn't the WWE going to eat them alive? No, Put TNA Impact on at 730 -900 PM. Im almost certain their ratings would damn near double. And whats the WWE going to do about that...nothing. They could start earlier, however i doubt they would do that. I think a mix of small things tna's isn't doing right.

-touring
-budgeting
- booking
- x division

If they if they focused on these areas their product/company will continue to grow, hopefully at a larger rate.

^ Agreed

TNA jams as many wrestlers on iMPACT! and the PPVs as they can, almost everyone is involved in a storyline, and the right people have championships. The problem with TNA is they aren't getting much advertising at all. The ratings are slipping and they aren't getting much attention, and I really dont know why. I think they have a perfect time slot, Thursday nights at 9 PM, so it can't be that, and they have a 2 hour show so why would that be a problem? I guess they just need more time or something, but to be honest I really dont see why the ratings aren't growing week after week. The product isn't that bad, its actually very good right now, and Samoa Joe is the World Champion. I honestly thought ratings would go through the roof with Joe as champ because of all the ROH marks that would tune in to see Joe with the belt, I guess I was wrong.

Well, i did think Joe is the same now as he was in 2006. He seems to have slowed down a little bit. Or lack of interest. I do think AJ Styles is going to be the new face of the company.

Also too Joe hasn't really been involved in any "hot" angles in a while. He was fueded with kurt, but that was big in 06. Look at his first opponent as champ, Scot Steiner. He's not going to bring in much in the way of ratings either. Takes two to tango.

Im watching TNA now, I'm really liken this alliance of Booker T and 3D. Buh Buh and Booker are some of the best on the mic in TNA.
