Now obviously its a little early after one show, but first impressions are sometimes important.
What was your first impression of Mick Foley on Color Commentary?

I loved it. He seemed like he fit right in, and something just clicked. I think having him there, a former wrestler, gave it some credibility and he was active on the mic. He seemed to be pretty in depth about the moves and effects, and was up to date on all the feuds.
Maybe he should be the lead commentator on ECW insead of Adamle? lol jk.
But I was impressed.

Good voice, knowledgeable, 50 times better than Coach as a Color Commentator. A+ in my book, great decision by the WWE here.

LMAO at the part where he asked cole his shoe size and Cole was like "size 9" and hes like "Wow, thats smaller than the shoes Coach left me to fill"

^^LOL. Based onm the reactions I have heard, and Foley's commentating at ONS 2005, it is a great move by WWE, and should really help SmackDown out. Makes it a lot more watchable.

Foley was awesome!!! He is one of the best commentators that WWE have gotten. I hope he stays there for a long time

Foley is already the best color man in the game. Sorry King. They should have made this move years ago.

"Those shoes are smaller than the shoes coach left me to fill" (or soemthing like that) Priceless.

i remember, tazz and michael cole being a team and when tazz left i hoped Foley would join thr SD team. his voice isnt perfect but his witty style and comments are great, he knows the business and is perfect for the role as smackdown colour commentator.

^I think he's better than oka, but I won't say he is as good or better than King already. I actually missed the first hour of Backlash so I actually only saw him do one match. I don't think I can make him better than someone like King whose been doing it for so long when I've only heard one match, but the potential is definitely there. It's also a great way to get Mick, who many people love, on TV and use his mic skills without having him wrestle, which he can't really do that well anymore.

Mick Foley is one of those funny guys who can make things happen, without them actually happening. He knows what he is talking about because he is a former wrestler.

Plus his actual commentary is pretty good as well so he fits in perfectly on the Smackdown announce team and of course he is way better than Coach as a color commentator because he brings in some 'life' into the matches and doesn't go on and on talking in a Blue manner like Coach used to do on Smackdown!

Foley did a damn good job last night. He was obviously prepared, KNEW THE NAMES AND EFFECTS OF THE MOVES, and provided a bit of in-depth analysis thanks to his days as a wrestler. He was much better than he was at One Night Stand.

By the way, Foley refered to Taker's submission as a Death Sentence... If I'm WWE, I think that's the name that the move will have from now on.

Foley is awesome, I love thsi guy! It was so refreshing to see him take on a commentator role for Smackdown. They sure needed it.
