No, Hangman definitely shot on him, lol. I thought he Tony confirmed it verbally, but Jeff says it was the Colt part. I’m not gonna fight over that because we’re at least agreeing Tony made the comment. Tony still nodded along when Punk said the Hangman part and showed no reaction to indicate he was lying. Even Jeff admitted that Tony handled it backstage or something months ago.

It was the promo when he said he was protecting AEW from Punk and the locker room heat etc.

What’s weird to me is he said 2013 early 2014 when they stopped being friends. Was they not friends then when he did Colt’s podcast???

I thought the last one was in 2014 myself but I think he said something like they weren't "friends" anymore even before their final falling out too so might be semantics

You own a business, would you want your best employee to shit on all your employees and managers in a press conference, regardless if he had a point. Tbf seems to me like the timeline of all the shit starting to go sour lines up with Punk being put in a position to win the title. There’s almost certainly wrong doing on both sides but seems fairly obvious (if it’s not a work) that it stemmed from these insecure guys being paranoid about their spots and unhappy that the big star comes in and takes the big star slot. Oh hangman shot but says it was to build up the angle. But i can see it from punkz pov, those lines made no sense w the current content so punk took it as a shot at cabana stuff since him n hangman r pals. Then punk shot back but months later but not in a program, which came of badly n gave us the situation. No one is innocent here , for example hangman could also have been the bigger man n explained himself. Punk could also have not escalated over n over

Thing is kenny n bucks had no reason to b threatened. Kenny was injured n going away n bucks r a tag so it barely tracks unless they marks that bad for hangman. Seems more like egos n assumptions to me
