Well me and This Guy had this debate a while ago and i thought i would here some more opinions besides This Guy and my myself.Ill start off by saying if your not on the road and your smoking in your own house why should you be told you can't smoke? and have to obey that rule when it's your house and it effects no one but yourself. It's personal choice you don't have to smoke but if you want to you should be able to.That's all im going to say for now ill wait and here some more opinions.

Because smokers aren't contributing as many labour hours to the workforce as non-smokers, and the government doesn't like where the money is going. You work like crazy your whole day, then you buy drugs, which help fund guns and weapons for gangs. If you legalize it, then the society will go crazy. It'll never happen.

Pretty sure if it was legal you wouldn't have to buy it from gang members. It would be a major blow to drug dealers.Im also pretty sure some company would produce marijuana and sell it so you wouldn't have to buy it from drug dealers.

Precisely. That's actually the main reason I'm in favour of legalizing alld rugs. There will be no more drug dealers. Crime won't increase if its legal. People steal to get drugs now, and just as many will do so if its legal. There aren't going to be more people all of a sudden decide to start stealing or injuring others to get drugs.

This is only possible however is the govenment regulates sale and quality. I don't see why they wouldn't though. So long as they sell it at the same proce as the street prices and make it better quality stuff, they will rake in the cash in taxes. That means more money for public services. People are going to get it if they want it anyway. Why not benefit from it?

Now I can see where you guys are coming from. It'll definately help cancel out shady drug dealers, but no government would want to be recognised as one that accepts drug taking, even if they know it happens.

Your damn right it should...Its a plant that grows in the ground...It also cuases less deaths than Drinking or Smoking Cigarretes...I think there was like 1 death last year...I don't smoke it anymore but still...There's no reason it should be illegal...

I don't know what year this was but here's some info

An exhaustive search of the literature finds no credible reports of deaths induced by marijuana. The US Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) records instances of drug mentions in medical examiners' reports, and though marijuana is mentioned, it is usually in combination with alcohol or other drugs. Marijuana alone has not been shown to cause an overdose death.

Here the link to the info that compares the deathshttp://www.drugwarfacts.org/causes.htm

I couldn't copy it so i had to post the link.

So yeah it's damn near impossible for marijuana to kill you. You would literally have to smoke like 24/7 every day.Oh yeah and what a shocker 435,000 people die every year from cigarettes. More than any other drug

I cbf to read what everyone else has said, so I'll just post my opinion:

Of course is shouldn't fucking be.

Teenage drop outs and society's outcast just use it to smoke all the time. If it was not misused at the scale it is then it may be considered.

But theres no chance, no chance in hell, thankfully.

All it does is fuck people up.

Who cares? It's not effecting you. Also would you care to explain how "it fucks people up"? Were not talking about crack.

Edit:Find a better fucking source no one abuses marijuana.

Dude plenty of people do, I know people who have dropped out of school/college just to stay at home all day and smoke it. I don't think it should be legalized.

Well if its legalized it will be easyer to get hold of whether theres and age limit or not, I'm under 18 and I can quite easily get alcohol so why would marijuana be any different?

also with the It's their choice rubbish, it just means we'll end up with more people like them, people who will probably won't get jobs, who will then claim benefits (which when your old enough) will be coming out of the money you've worked hard for.
