WWE's Free Event At Venice Beach A Huge Success

World Wrestling Entertainment's free event in Venice Beach, California was a huge success attracting an estimated 19,000-20,000 fans yesterday. Events that took place were giveaways, autograph signings, and few matches in a ring set up right on the beach. WWE had camera crews there so some recorded footage may appear on WWE.com or as a bonus on the SummerSlam DVD.

- Reader Dave Smolinski sent this to me:"I was at the event and I saw many Hollywood stars Emile Hirsh and Matthew Kidman, two stars from the movie "The Girl Next Door". It was a fun event it was well worth the time spent there. A fun interactive day with WWE stars. I also received a free WWE belt as a giveaway."

That event sounded cool, hopefully more events will spring up like this, further increasing the WWE's fanbase.

Good thing they are doing for free aswell. Adds hype to SummerSlam too. Attracting 20,000 odd is a big boost for WWE.

Wish I was there :(
