For those of us who have followed TNA over the past few years, it is safe to say that they are truely "The Alternative" to the WWE at the moment...or is it? Is TNA slowly sinking lower and lower? It is pretty obvious their best days are behind them (2005) but does that mean that they cant deliver anymore? In my opinion, TNA has gotten worse over the years. Too many former WWE wrestlers were signed and they have taken the spots of many deserving young TNA wrestlers that have earned their spots. The quality of PPVs has also decreased overall, even though they definately are improving when it comes to PPVs. I actually think TNA PPVs are pretty damn good and are alot more enjoyable than WWE PPVs. But there is no question that they have gotten a little worse over the years. The bottom line is, do you guys think TNA is going to continue to get worse from here? I think they have a chance to improve, with TNA Bound For Glory comming up, this can be TNA's big chance to turn themselves around and produce a kick ass PPV with amazing matches. The only question is will TNA do it? I think alot of people are doubting TNA now and they have definately lost alot of loyal marks, but is Bound For Glory their chance to turn things around? I think it is...

Problems

Signing: TNA is taking to much time signing washed up no skills then the bright young suerpstars who have worked for it and deserve it. TNA is focusing on having more WWE like superstars thinkg it will make them more like WWE, well it doesnt the fans of TNA want something apart from WWE. TNA needs to focus on fresh wrestlers form indy curcuits and bring them in and help them climb the ladder not bringing back has beens who did nothing (rikishi, test, a-train, tomko) to TNA not saying Christian and Kurt werent good but TNA needs something new nto soemthing old, the fans want something they have never seen before not something they have seen a hundred times before.

Matches: TNA is brging in on the same matches just adding stipulations to it how many times is Angle vs Joe going to happen or Roode vs Young like really they need to stir the pot to keep things cooking. TNA needs to put veriatie into there cards and booking, we have to many of the same title lines and not mixing it up. THe X division needs to be worked to the fullest so many capable stars are being wasted. THe tag team division is the same LAX, TEam 3D, Lax Team 3D mix the pot put MCMG vs Machismo and Dutt like really mix it up and brign in the new tallent to the table.

Ratings: TNa is trying and trying to get a better deal or a two our slot but they cant with out better ratings, Ratings need to be higher then a 1. No wonder no one wants to give them the slot the ratings are too low soon spike will drop them from the line up.

PPV and Build Up: TNA does not make a PPV well enough to be such a big hype. TNA has a PPV every what 2 weeks making no time for build up or story, plus the one hour show cant fit all the story lines for a match. TNA puts so much stipulation into there matches on PPV's but no story liek how are you going to make that match look grand without story behind it.

i will be back with more

I wouldn't say TNA is a sinking ship, if anything I'd say TNA is far from a sinking ship. TNA is not as enjoyable as it used to be, but that is expected. There was a time when TNA was receiving .2 ratings, and were not only fighting for a television deal, but were fighting to stay together. TNA is actually enjoying some its highest success up to date. Not only are they expanding the product, but they are also receiving consistent ratings, and to my knowledge just struck a new television deal that includes an additional hour. TNA isn't the same it used to be, but change is needed in order to succeed. Every time we bash the decisions TNA makes, the product seems to grow in a way, weather it's ratings, buy rates, popularity, etc. This is not an accident. As much as I hate to admit it, wrestling has changed a lot and we all need to accept it. We must realize that the "Internet Wrestling Community" is only only a small portion of fans. While most of us like more of a pure wrestling way of business, thats not what leads to success at the moment. TNA is growing in every aspect, and as much as we will probably hate it, more changes are likely to come.

I hate to say it, but changes must be made. They gotta turn a profit, and they gotta do it soon. To me, the future doesnt look too bright, but i dont want to count out TNA just yet. The 2 hour deal will help ratings, but really i think they need to get out and tour. I also think they should push some of the guys who arent former wwe talents. They gotta make their own stars, and get their own identity, if they don't do that, i cant see TNA become a major threat, or a sucessful company.

WTF^^^You just said that the PPV's have been getting worse but TNA's ppvs have gotten better but they arent good but they are good but they are better than WWE's.....I think you said some shit wrong...Lol
And If TNA is a sinking ship you may want to change your name seeing as if it sinks:Tna Is NOT wrestling...
Other than that I agree with your post. They haver too many fucking guys that are nearing 40 or over 40 and will be done int heir careers soon. Now they wont have many left to fill their shoes because the guys they have now will be 5 years older by the time they want them to be the main part of the company and many other younger gusy will see how TNA treated the other home-made TNA young guys before and wont want any part of it.Also their product, lets face it,is all rehashed WWE storylines that drew low ratings.Or WWE mid card storylines that TNA is trying to use as Main Event storylines...Anyways to answer your question:Yes,IMO it's already sunk, its not going up,this shits going down and its up to the smartest fucker to get out:)

TNA was slowly growing and growing to be a nice and REAL competiton to WWE, getting to the point that there was a point that the in-ring was more enjoyable than WWE.

But that stopped a long time ago.

TNA marks complain about the lowsy storylines that WWE present in the few times they present one. That allegation worked a time ago, but I don't think they work now after seeing Abyss mother, TNA pet, Kurt Angle's family separation, the whole fucking Doomsday concept.

Marks also talk shit about big guys all over WWE. When AJ Styles was on top that worked. But with guys like The Punisher, Matt Morgan, Rikishi, A-Train, etc... probably on the main event now, at least Batista can put a soportable match once in a while, not able to say the same about A-train or The Punisher.

TNA was making a profit, after all those years they were starting to make a profit, and they start expending it on those no talented wrestlers.

The god damn ring is so bad. Am I the only one that thinks the wrestlers look uncomfortable in it?

And the two of the most crucial points in the TNA sinking besides the awful signing in wrestlers:

1. The ratings. They want a second hour and they can outrate ECW. They are a complete failure in ratings. Yeah, they had been improving, but with stars like Kurt Angle, Sting, Christian and tons of storylines and rivalries one wold think they at least could draw more viewers than Morrison, Punk, Burke, an inactive Cor Von, Daddy V and The Miz with one actual feud on the brand.

2. The insecurity. From the whole TNA roster you know the only one that are locked to stay are Kurt Angle, Abyss, Sting and Christian Cage. And even them aren't sure to stay. Samoa Joe hasn't renew his contract and you know WWE is after him. And you hear about agents backstage of WWE saying about the tons of TNA names toss out or contacted by WWE.

The little place in the back of your mind that you
Ring of Honor is going to become the alternative to WWE soon and that is a fact because of the PPV deal they have gotten, good reviews from all fans and the cult population growing. TNA superstars are getting angry and WWE has kept the ratings the same while TNA can't even get over 1.2 in the Nieslens. TNA has some lousy ass storylines and matches at times and is losing their originality by having only big guys and WWE/WCW rejects come into the main event instead of pushing the X-division.

Liveeeee Showsssssssss.

And no, it's not really a sinking ship, the ratings have gotten BETTER not worse, it's just the first fans of TNA (probably you) aren't appealed by it anymore. Although, TNA needs to start thinking big (see above) and trim the roster.

The only two things that TNA needs to realize is A) not to waste money on useless talents, like Pacman and B) not to give Vince Russo permission to book whatever the fuck he wants. Russo needs to be on a leash to be a good booker.

Vince Russo doesn't book half of the stuff in TNA, they aren't a sinking ship but only because of guys like Angle and Sting otherwise TNA would have folded by now.

Just wait for Vince to realize that TNA is a threat, for him to take an action similar to what he did to WCW.. :p
