Ric Flair had just got drafted to Smackdown and should be considered as a main event player seeing that the top faces are

Batista- Will lose to Edge and out of the top face spot

Rey- Isn't returning yet

Finlay- Could have a possible feud with Edge for a litte bit

Matt Hardy- Already history between the two, story writes itself

Kane- Not going to get a push...period

Flair is almost at the end of his rope but is still busting his but every night for who? Himself- sure he loves the business, the Fame-Not a chance, the Fans- the only thing men in the pro wrestling business should care about and i stress should. The WWE pretty much owes Ric to send him out on the highest note possible, and not jobbing to Carlito or Chris Masters or any young talent. Anyone remember May 2003 the match he had with HHH for the WHC i was on the edge of my seat cheering Flair and his legacy has only grown.

I'll set the scene Survivor Series, the main event Edge vs. Ric Flair for the WHC, Flair said before the match no matter what he's done win or lose. In the end Edge taps to the Figure 4, crowd goes nuts and the ppv ends with Flair raising the same title he's held many times for the last time. On SD have an emotional ceromony of Flair thanking the fans for everything and relinquishing the title. Face it he's going to have a road agent job for life so actually send someone out on a high note.

Ric Flairs job on SD will be just like Benoits on ECW. To help young guys get put over, get better in the ring, and better in any other aspect. A 57 year old man winning a title takes away every credibility to the title and the guy who get defeated. We may see him fued for the belt (MVP/FLair) but he will not win.

Although it would be a very emotional and fitting occassion to have Flair win his 17th World Title, like Truth said, it would totally devalue the title and the person who he defeats, would lose his credibility. Back when Flair was challenging Triple H for the title, I would have loved to see Flair win the title, as everyone hated HHH and Flair was the ultimate underdog, with everyone's backing. But he has been jobbed out far too much recently and should not be anywhere near the World Title. Liek Truth also stated, Flair will take over from Benoit's role on SD! (as well as continuing his role from the Raw brand), where he puts over the younger talent. I can see a Flair/MVP feud, with occasional matches against Edge/Finlay/Burke (if/when he is drafted to SD!).

If, and this is a big if.

If Flair is truly planning on retiring after Wrestlemania 24 I for sure see him winning the title before then and dropping it at WM.

To whom, I don't know, but to be most effective it would need to be a face/face match for the title so that when it ends everybody is sad that Flair has lost, but they'll still be happy because it goes to another face.

It would be a true passing of the torch imo, and would be a great emotional moment for a wrestlemania.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I mean, back in the original ECW, wasn't Terry Funk also in his fifties when he beat Raven for the ECW World Championship at Barely Legal, and the roof came off the place.

Flair doesnt need the belt to put someone over, nor should he want the belt. If he does I think thats plain out selfish, hes had 16 reigns and his 57, he doesnt need any more. Flair will put over a handful of young guys on SD from now until he retires and no joke...a Flair/Kahli fued will happen.

Batista will feud with Khali, and I see Edge feuding with Matt Hardy. Hardy is getting a really big push, so I'm assuming he will face Edge. That leaving Flair and MVP. Flair may win the US Championship but thats it. I think it would be cool to see Flair win a World Championship, but I don't see it happening, especially the World/WWE, maybe the ECW Championship because its the third rate title but thats it.

the only way I can see Naich having one more reign is him winning it at WM24. If he does get inducted to the hall of fame and if it is his last match, that would make it more possible. They could have him go out like Trish and have him win the title and retire as champion.

Flair will likely be active in ring action till his kid, Reid, debuts and is the "next big thing". Then he'll have a big role pushing the kid, who'll take the belt with Ric helping him cheat. Then Reid, or whatever they call him, can lie down for Dad who'll turn heel and rub that 17th title in the faces of the entire roster and everyone who's been talking about his retirement since the early nineties. And he'll be stylin' with that kid for the rest of his life, so learn to love it! Woooo!

i'd like Flair to win the title again, but after jobbing for so long, he;s just so far away from the main event title shots, that i dont see it likely, unless they reignite the Edge/Flair fued, and have them fued at wrestlemania for the WHC, hav Flair inducted, and then retire. but other than that, i dont see him winning the championship again. but i do expect to see him again when his son signs with WWE, so flair can manage him. id like a 17th, but i doubt it

I'd really like to see Flair get the title one more time but I don't think it is likely. He is not marketable enought to be Champion, he could still possibly get a short reign but only about 1-3 months. Also he is old so he is not that reliable as world champ.

Also I think he went to Smackdown to put younger guys over, possibly MVP

i think flair and batista should challenge deuce and domino for the tag titles. this way, it takes batista out of the main event and gives flair a title. then they will feud, leading up to wrestlemania

Flair should have a major speaking role. I don't know why they waste him mic skills. He could sell anyone or anything.
