I'm thinking about putting this goal on my bucket list. What do you think? Anyone ever given serious thought to conquering every single video game in history (I realize not all games have official endings per se, but the vast majority of them do)?

you have your work cut out for you. Especially if you count mobile games (which are officially classified as video games).

You're insane. Games are released faster than you can complete them.

Seriously. Some games would take you literally hundreds of hours to complete

even if you dedicated literally all of your time to this it would never.... e-e-e-evvvveeeerrrr happen

lol Contra? Not only have I beaten it but I even once accomplished the task of doing so without losing a single life. Not an easy goal it was, but an obtainable one nonetheless. (The latter non-Nes Contra games, not so much. Contra: Shattered Soldier on the PS2 is hands down one of the hardest games I've ever played period.)

Anyway, I realize it's pretty much an impossible goal, but I'm a big wrestling fan and was recently giving serious thoughts about watching (and rewatching) every PPV in WWF/E history (as well as possibly every WCW PPV as well) and since I'm an even bigger fan of video games, I wanted to do something daunting of a task there as well. However, perhaps just beating at least, say, 50 or 100 games on each system (which would still consume a good amount of time) would be more of a realistic and attainable goal.

lol What's that?

Beating every game in history may be an impossible task, but there is no one individual game (and certainly no individual boss) that the great Lockard23 cannot beat. Put it in front of me, and it can be beaten.

How about the top 10 games from every console on the hardest difficulty? Narrows the field some. Not sure where you would get "qualified" lists though

Lists like that can be found all over the web. I generally agree with most of the games they list too, and most of the ones that give people the hardest time on the NES (Ghosts 'N Goblins, Silver Surfer, Ninja Gaiden 1-3, Battletoads, etc.) are also among the most difficult games period lol.

'Nerd' is a label that us game aficionados should proudly live up to, not live down to.

Well yeah, I just meant I didn't know which list you would want to go with. I'm sure many of them are different. Personal preferences and all.
