Yeah, basically a "one more chance to prove yourself to the Authority" match for Orton before they send him to jobsville.

Summerslam is the best bet for when this match will occur. WWE consider Summerslam to be their second biggest PPV of the year (although the Royal Rumble is actually their second biggest, but I won't get into that) and the two most noteworthy happenings of their premier event Wrestlemania this year were Lesnar ending the streak and Bryan finally making it to the top and becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion... so it's logical that the pathway of those two should collide at their next big event.

The problem is, I don't see Lesnar holding the championship from Summerslam till Wrestlemania 31. If Lesnar was willing to commit to that many dates, then it would be awesome to see him dominate with a long ass championship reign like that, but I can't imagine that happening, and no way in hell should Lesnar be losing if first match after ending the streak. If he walks into Wrestlemania 31 as champion, he should win it at Survivor Series at the earliest, but that's really a question of whether Bryan would keep it that long (I think he could, but who knows... they may not be able to resist putting the strap on Batista when it comes time for his movie to be released in August.)

Lesnar isn't going to hold the title for 8 months, over the shitty Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell, etc, block of PPVs. And I wouldn't want him to either - less is more with Lesnar.

I actually think the new big storyline could be Daniel Bryan vs. Paul Heyman. Bryan, Cesaro and Brock will hold the title for the next year. Cesaro wins MITB and cashes in on Bryan in autumn. Bryan wins it back at Survivor Series. Heyman plays his trump card, calling on Brock, who hasn't been seen since yesterday's RAW. Lesnar wins the belt at Royal Rumble, retains at EC, and goes on to face Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns WrestleMania 31's main-event. Reigns would be going over someone who in his last 3 matches: ended the Streak, beat the face of the company (Bryan), and retained in the chamber.

I know a lot of people really want this feud, and after Mania, it seems like it could be in the cards. Extra smarky dirtsheet readers will point out "teh contract dates!" with Lesnar, but WWE just did some crazy shit with him at Mania so who is to say they don't spend a little extra cheddar to have ol Brocky boy make some extra appearances, say during a WWEWHC reign sometime in 2014.

Can Brock really just disappear until SS after last night? WWE needs to strike while the iron is hot. I wouldn't be shocked if some crazy shit like Lesnar vs DB for the title happens TONIGHT!

HHH comes out and books the match in a desperate attempt to get the belt back off of DB. Imagine that main event in front of this crowd tonight. omg!

Anyhow, do you think this feud happens now? If so, when? Summerslam?

I think babyface Cesaro is just a short-term thing for the Swagger feud, before returning to a heel persona and hopefully winning MITB. Otherwise that's a waste of Heyman.

Cesaro v Lesnar won't happen for a long time imo. Everyone was bored of Paul Heyman guy v former Paul heyman guy with the Punk angle.

Not sure "everyone" is an accurate barometer of measurement here. I was enjoying the hell out of that feud, along with how it was crafted and how it was blown-off.

Part of me still would love to see it revisited and see Punk get his back. I don't think it will happen (even when Punk eventually returns to WWE), but I can still want it.
