I genuinely believe it's a work. Here's why:

1) Neither WWE or CM Punk have publicly mentioned anything with regards to the perceived "situation". Surely both sides would have mentioned it by now if genuine.
2) Punk's under contract until July, therefore he's not going to be able to go to anywhere ie TNA, ROH etc until at least September due to the no compete clause. If he genuinely went home, all WWE has to say is that Punk got injured following the Rumble.
3) They tried this with him back in 2011 and then fucked it up - makes sense that they'd try it again going into WrestleMania.
4) I refuse to believe that the longest reigning champion in 25 years who was the iron man of this year's Rumble and lives for this business, would simply call it a day.

Not disrespectful, just them taking digs because he left out of nowhere. Will piss off people on Punks side, but it's whatever, I honestly want the Punk chants gone because they will potentially take attention away from Regins and Bryan, wrestlers who have actually tried for the last 6 months.

I officially got sick of Punk come the end of the Rumble anyway so he left at the perfect time I guess.

No they shouldn't. He waltzed out and potentially left the company in a heap of shit (as far as storylines), he was unprofessional.

this would imply that the company wasn't already in deep shit with immensely poor booking.

Although opinions vary and this is America, freedom of speech....you're entitled to be wrong. :dawg:
Dear god shut up with the freedom of speech crap. Freedom of speech was founded upon the basis of allowing political and governmental criticism.

As for the topic, the announcers have every reason to rib Punk for his crap.

unprofessionally correct. And he stood up for DB, other stars, and himself. You can say it's the wrong decision and yes CM Punk whines a lot but he stood for what the fans as well as other superstars have been complaining about for months.

Cmplaining about for months. This whole issue never really mattered until Batista won the Rumble, which was 2 weeks ago. As for DB, they're building up to push him, all a matter of time. You're not getting it.
