Shawn Michaels' win on Raw was Monumental

Why you ask? Because HBK became the first man in over two years to cleanly pin John Cena. I was shocked at this at first. John Cena is booked as the superman of the WWE and he is hardly pinned period, let alone clean. I thought it would be a while before John Cena would be pinned cleanly, but it was such a relief. I feel good now that even when he retains the championship this sunday, atleast HBK has defeated Cena, cleanly. It will still be a while before Cena is ever defeated cleanly for the WWE championship, if ever.

I agree with Captive I didnt have Cena being beaten cleanly for a long time, I was suprised by it, I mean its a start but its just that a start, nothing was really accomplished. Cena actually wrestled a good match, and was cleanly beaten but he is still Champ, good for HBK, and only HBK.

I was shocked by the whole match in general. It was a big gamble by the WWE to have an almost hour long main event. That type of thing is usually reserved for pay-per-view main events and I don't believe I've ever seen it on a regular show before. And I am thrilled that not only did HBK get a clean win, he survived the F-U and STF-U. I hope the WWE does a few more things like this because Cena's time is just up. He needs to lose the title and stay out of the title picture for at least half a year. I happen to be in the minority who like Cena but I'm just sick of seeing him with the title.

I was shocked by the match too! , that has got to be one of the greatest matches on Raw i have ever seen.It was nice to see John Cena not winning the match and standing with the belt at the end of Raw as usal , and even better to see Shawn Micheals pin him cleanly and fairly.

Therein lies our problem. I was pleased with the outcome but a non-title match on Raw? Seems like a waste. I don't mean any disrespect to HBK or Cena but that kind of performance shouldn't have been squandered for free. Think Goldberg/Hogan in 98.

It was monumental because it was one of the greatest RAW main events ever, come RAW 20th anniversary that's going to be a candidate for match of the past 2 decades

I found the time of the match weird too. you rarely see those long matches on wwe, and for it to be on free tv, was pretty cool tv.

That match was far from terrible what the hell are you talking about??? Yeah the title wasnt on the line, it was a week from Backlash they're not gonna put the title on the line that close to a PPV.
