Action: Die Hard, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Under Siege, 3000 Miles To Graceland, Kill Bill Vol. 1&2, Natural Born Killers (isn't a popcornish action flick but then neither are the Kill Bill films. and I don't know what else to call this), etc.

Horror: Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Nightmare On Elm Street (1984 original), The Thing (1982 original), Return Of The Living Dead (underrated zombie film from 1985), Alien & Aliens (the latter is halfway an action film as well), etc.

Comedy: Dumb & Dumber, Cable Guy, Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery, etc.

Drama: The Pledge, American History X, etc.
