Inside Details On The Passing Of Mike Awesome

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- As previously reported, Mike Awesome was scheduled to go out with friends on 2/17. Friends arrived at his home, but no one answered. One of Awesome's friends found Awesome hanging through a window. By the time police arrived, Awesome had already passed away.

- It doesn't appear he left behind a suicide note.

- Apparently Awesome had been in poor health in recent months, and had dropped to 235 lbs.

- At the time of his passing, Awesome was going through a divorce.

Do you even know the relationship he had with his wife? No you don't and you probably never will that's why you shouldn't make claims like that. Not to mention he was in poor health he was probably around 290 until he dropped to the size of matt hardy so yeah that's a lot of weight to lose.

No I don't, and I don't care what his relationship is. Suicide is just plain stupid and there is really no good reason for it.

It doesn't tarnish anything he did in the ring to me, but he was still a ****ing tool for hanging himself.

Suicide is kind of a strange option, but I'm not going to judge someone. I don't know the circumstances behind it.

I agree with MonkeyStyle, there is no reason to commit suicide. So what so his wife left him. So he was in poor heath. Doesn't mean he couldn't get better. Miracles happen all the time.

Whether it be in football with the 3-4 D or basketball and full court press D what is your favorite kind of defense in all of sports?

Though it didn't work as great for Rex in B-More as it did for his father with the 85 bears I really do like the 46 defense.

Doberman defense in basketball.

Phil used to sick his dobermans in Pippen, Jordan, Harper, and Rodman on teams at varying levels of the court with Longley plugging the middle. Scottie pressed you at full, MJ met you at 3/4, Rodman met you at half, and Harper picked you up inside the foul line. From that point on they would funnel you into the direction of the perimeter help to pick your pass or into the interior for Longley to alter your shot.

In his second year in LA, Kobe took the Pippen role, Fisher took the Jordan one, Fox picked you up where Harper did, and Horry did what Rodman did, with Shaq plugging the middle. He couldn't implement his first year because no one besides Harper or Sally knew the triangle offense, but when he did they went on to set a postseason record of 15-1 in the playoffs and sweep every team out west.

The current team also plays it for spurts with the guys funneling people into Bynum.

Full Court Press Man to Man. I cannot stand zone defense. Probably because I'm a shorter guy and can't guard the taller dudes worth shit but I still hate it.
