Wow it's interesting to see the differences in Grossing figures when comparing USA to the UK. I know UK is a lot smaller but USA buys into a hell of a lot of films.

The Dark Knight Rises has been a big hit in both countries and grossing over a million in the USA weeks after it's first release is epic. Nothing surprising with Expendable 2 nearing the top of the USA box office but I've still not seen the first. A decent pull in for Total Recall.

Lawless is becoming a suprise hit maybe due to a eye catching cast and a lot poster time. Still very much is an indie feature and would have thought it was a hard sell to the masses, but good to see as I have been impressed with John Hillcoats other films epscially The Propesition.

Saw Anna Karenina yesterday and it is really worth seeing, far from perfect but an interesting and different period drama, the cast are very good too.

Looking forward to Paranorma too.

It has been a couple of really, really weak weeks at the US box office. The have had some of the lowest grossing weekends in quite some time and this week doesn't look any better with the new Resident Evil and the 3D re-release of Finding Nemo starting slowly on Friday.
