Zema Ion, known on the independents as Shima Xion, has signed with TNA after his strong showing at the Destination X PPV.

Good to see that TNA are rewarding him for a good performance at Destination X. TNA are signing a lot of X-Division wrestlers so they must have plans to use the division more in the future. My only worry is their roster is huge considering they only have two hours to promote the roster and build for PPVs. They either need another show or need to cut dead weight from the roster.

Nice signing, I did watch Destination X myself and thought he performed quite well.

Nice to see more indy guys being used in TNA. Seems like WWE are looking to signing some ROH Wrestlers too, so could be a bit of competition in the future with new signings and such.

I haven't seen him perform before but from all reports he was really good at Destination X and has been good on the indy circuit. It is good seeing TNA give some newer guys opportunities rather than just recycling older guys, like Kid Kash. There is nothing wrong with that but I do like seeing other wrestlers getting opportunities.

Good point. They need to come up with a good reason to explain to the crowd how he received a contract. I think they should keep it simple and say that after his excellent performance at the PPV the Network told them to sign him.
