Rikishi Sounds Off On WWE For Not Using Him On SmackDown

Rikishi fired off a series of messages on his Twitter account @TheRealRikishi Tuesday evening criticizing WWE for not utilizing him on the “Blast from the Past†edition of SuperSmackDown Live. His sons, Jey and Jimmy Uso, competed against Heath Slater and Tyson Kidd on the live broadcast and he strongly feels he should have accompanied them for their match. The former WWE Superstar wrote:

* I wanted to be there with my sons @WWEUSOS but you know the deal. #NoDeal I want what I want @WWE!!! Sry fans maybe next time on @TERRITORYLEAGUE

* U can’t play this . I put in my time to call my own shots in this business.. find another SUCKER !!! You loss I WIN …

* Dnt be scared to put me on TV . I won’t steal the show. But you know I’m damn sho gonna give the ppl what they wanna see.POP GOES THE CROWD

Rikishi also retweeted a message from wrestler cousin Black Pearl ripping his sons’ segment on the show: “Boring ass segment with no pop.. should of paid @TheREALRIKISHI what he deserves.. #epicfail cover up.â€

I agree, him being used with The Usos would have been a good idea as they are family and big Kish was a pretty known name back with WWE years ago so it would of worked well and he would of got a good pop. SD was a shit episode this past week anyway.

I don't get why WWE won't use Rikishi. I'm a huge fan of him and him there with Uso's would have made something good.

It sucks how they continue not to use him on old school events like that.

Ridiculous sentiment - he was only ever decent as a sideshow attraction with Scotty and Grand Master, and never amounted to anything past a midcard heel who was bantha fodder for the mainevent stars. The Usos are being protected by not being showcased in the ring with him.

I agree with this. I also have to ask why would he want to be part of the train wreck?

Let me also say that with all due respect he gets a pop, but not huge without Too Cool by his side to do their dance routine. Scotty by himself would out pop him

That's what I'm wondering though it seems in his mind he thinks he alone could have made the whole show better which is just funny. Just think he badly wants another shot to be on t.v since the last time he was it was in a very forgettable TNA stint.

My biggest mark out moment involving Rikishi was when he was Chokeslammed off the top of the Cell by Taker, that says it all. He wouldn't of added anything to the train wreck of a show.

Rikishi comes out, and people query as to where Too Cool are to accompany him. Rikishi will forever be known as their sidekick, or for taking the chokeslam off the cell. Nothing more.

Not only this but none of them aside from Mick were from the attitude era of wrestling. It wasn't like it was Austin, Trish, hell it wasn't even a Val Venis or Goldust type guy from that era there. The closest ties they had t the late 90s and millennium were Foley and Patterson who was Vinces stooge. That is another reason I don't get the bitching.

It was nothing like Raw when they had their homecoming or anniversary and brought back names from the era of Austin, Michaels, Taker, Rock, HHH.

Don't over analyze everything. The show was not called "Legends" it was called "Blast from the past". Rikishi wrestled on SmackDown for years, therefore he is from the past right? Now if Rikishi contacted WWE and wanted to be apart of his sons match on SmackDown, what's the harm in allowing him to do so?

Not everybody on SmackDown was a legend anyway.

I just simply said that the guys they used on the show aside from the normal talent were legends making it less sense as to why it was some so called big mistake to not have him there. I don't mind the guy but my only real issue is how he comes off acting like he is a bigger name than he is. Show sucked beyond belief anyways him being on it wouldn't have done anything considering wwe's cheesy comedy that they would have used with him. If it was Too Cool as a whole maybe I'd be more worried about seeing it.

My point simply is not so much what would have been wrong with him showing up but more so what would have been the point on such a hopeless show.

If it was such a "hopeless show", would Rikishi appearing, regardless of whether he's classed as a "legend" or not, be REALLY that much of a big deal that even warrants this kind of discussion?

He played a part in the WWE's past, his sons were wrestling on the show, so really there was no GOOD reason to not include him. It's all right there, and frankly him not being considered a legend isn't a good enough excuse. It wouldn't have hurt anybody if Rikishi made one appearance by accompanying his sons to the ring, standing ringside for the match, and leaving with them.
