Fernando Tatis Jr hit two grand slams last night. That gave him 11 home runs for the season so far.

He leads the mlb in homers, runs, and RBIs. After last night he had to apologize because our manager is soft and didn’t like that he swung at the pitch for the second homer and ran up the score. I guess it’s some unwritten old man rule in baseball, that rule can kick rocks.

Yeah I'm a Rangers fan but fuck 'em for that and the suspensions are worthy. If you don't want a player to hit a grand slam then don't throw him a pitch that's easily hit for a home run

That's always been my argument for any "running the score" argument, like if you don't want them to score then don't let them but don't bitch about it if you fail lmao. There's a benefit in most sports to not running up the score even for your own team such as giving backups time to play to prevent injuries when it's a blowout, so it's not actually an optimal strategy to run up the score most of the time but in this situation fuck it lmao dude swung on a 3-0 pitch bc you threw him a strike, he just supposed to wait until it's 3-1?
