Ace also seems really invested in the game and trying hard so idk why Poyser is saying there's no way he'd be making decisions in a mafia QT yet at the same time not really acknowledging his effort in his favor if you rate him that low. Just seems inconsistent and like he's trying to fit a square peg into a round hole

I'm starting to think it's really just Poyser/Rugrat/Barry and that since we got this team figured out this vig+CC is a last-ditch gambit to distance Poyser and Rugrat from each other.

I'll reiterate that I don't think Barrys role is for real, and unlike him when he called the PR in my first life fake, I actually got good reason to think so.

Also yeah, we're definitely lynching Poyser or Rugrat, it literally doesn't matter (to me) which of the two it is, all that matters is we pick one before deadline.

I guess strictly speaking no-lynch wouldn't be the worst outcome here though.

Okay sure. There’s eight players left. Two are me and Poyser who want rid of each other. Outside of that there’s six players left - from which there’s two scum. Assuming one or more town take the wrong side, then we have a 50/50 split with those who want to lynch town and those who want to lynch scum. Scum obviously will be more certain on who they wish to lynch and will be able to corroborate plans giving them the advantage.

At this point I think I'm just going to follow my gut from day 1. No lynch at worst I guess but I'm not really cool with no lynching when we have scum suspects. Fucking lame shit that once again we are stuck making a game breaking decision after literally not lynching a single townie...

As I said, I'm going to go with my gut, and my top scum read from day 1. There's just zero reason to read him town for me, and he only really tried to play the emotional card, and the previous game card with me, which felt like an attempt at emotional manipulation than it did trying to make a compelling argument, when he was under pressure. Also find it a bit amusing he said whoever was at 2-3 would be in danger to be blitzed, yet he stayed comfortably at 3 for quite a while (this is true of poyser as well).

1) You could both be scum

2) If one of you IS town, there's no reason to assume one or more town will take the wrong side. You should be trying to convince town NOT to take the wrong side.

3) If we hit scum then it doesn't matter too much that they know who each town player wants to lynch because lynching scum swings things back in town's favor.

Having a 50% chance to hit scum without even having to look at the play of the players involved is a good position for town. Much better than the typical position. We should be trying to figure out which player is most likely to be scum, as well as keeping in mind that it's possible for both players to be scum.
