TEW/EWR Discussion Thread

Yeah I'm sure there's no comparison between my top stars and your stars in terms of their popularity as well. This whole mod has everyone pretty modestly rated so even if you're using WWE, NJPW, AEW or whoever, you're going to have to really work for highly graded shows. We're steadily getting there but I'm guessing losing a lot of TV exposure is going to be a pretty big setback in terms of developing my talent's popularity. But as I've learned, you just gotta stay the course and as long as your money stays right, you can make anything happen.

I do wonder if industry booms can impact the grades that shows receive. I know it affects attendance and TV ratings. Idk about the actual grades though.

Also as long as you're having fun with the shows you book, if you fail or whatever it is kinda fun to just try and get another booking job or start your own company since you are still playing as a character in the game and not just a phantom booker like a lot of people tend to do.

Maybe for 2013, but I know 2016 became almost uncrackable after an update. 2013 is still a ton of fun, 2016 just has some updated features, but they're mostly similar.

The post-Risky Business episode is in the books.

I was relieved that despite the fact that I had four basically unknown teams competing on the show (as well as an unknown Knockout), I still got a really good grade for myself.

Sheesh. I was hoping for a much better outcome with RVD vs. TJP but I'm guessing the hardcore stipulation really hampered TJP and RVD isn't a great wrestler these days anymore either (his segments are always money though).

Two more weeks before Homecoming.

Have any of you when you added the Wrestlers to the Mod you're using not work/show their pics even though you did the steps? Like I have a huge amount of Wrestlers being added and that is thought so much data messes that stuff up from time to time. I'm still deciding whether to do something modern or something old school. Waying my options.

Idk about 2013 but with 2016 sometimes you have to load the game you're playing, go to "options" and then "choose picture folder", then choose the picture folder that aligns with your database so that all the wrestlers and companies have the appropriate pictures assigned to them.

As for the wrestlers themselves not showing up, I don't know. Maybe if you explained exactly what was going on I could help.

Idk about 2013 but with 2016 sometimes you have to load the game you're playing, go to "options" and then "choose picture folder", then choose the picture folder that aligns with your database so that all the wrestlers and companies have the appropriate pictures assigned to them.

Yeah after I put in all the stuff I went to the Roster to see if I did it right and the Data for all the Wrestlers was there, but they didn't have their pics aligned to them. They were as if they were CAWS. Oh well I since deleted it as I want to look where I wanna go with this. A Stardom one would be great for me adding other Joshi talent. So I'll probably go with Fleisch's Mods, and use the Super Awesome Modern Picture Pack from Joe Murphy on the Site.

TEW 2020 set to release third or fourth week of April btw.

I may have a go at a Cornellverse save as mentioned earlier. But may use the Cornellverse 2018 mod as my favourite promotion TCW has a banging roster in it.

Although I may also just use a different promotion to try something new.

Any Cornellverse with any suggestions are welcome.

One of my favorite things to do with the CornellVerse is to use a random number generator to pick your company and then try and book it without changing up the company identity too much. It's nice bc it keeps you from booking the same types of companies over and over again. I go all out with it and use the random generator to pick my user character from the defaults and also for the list of preset builds you can choose from for their user talents.

Not a bad shout actually. My biggest problem with the CornellVerse is I keep restarting saves because I don't like what I've done at some point - accepting that things won't be perfect by going full random is probably a good idea.

That said I've never played outside of US/Canada so maybe I should try a different region. SOTBPW actually looks ridiculously stacked and I still get to use my bae El Mitico.
