2010 US Open Tennis

The 2010 US Open starts on August 30th and runs until September 12th.

Del Potro and Clijsters are the defending champions. Del Potro though has pulled out from this year's tournament due to injury. Women's world number one Serena Williams has had to withdraw because of an injury and Justine Henin has also had to withdraw.

Roger Federer is my pick for the men's side since Nadal has never won the US Open. On the women's side it is much more difficult to pick a winner but I will go with last year's runner-up Caroline Wozniacki.

Who do you think will win?

The women's singles final was last night and Kim Clijsters won for the second year running defeating Zvonareva. Fantastic work by her to return to tennis and now have won two Grand Slams.

The men's final is tonight and it is Nadal vs Djokovic, both have had great runs to the final especially Nadal who I don't think dropped a set. Djokovic defeated Federer in five sets to make the final so I wonder if that match was his final. Will be tough for Djokovic but I am backing him to get the win here.

Who do you think will win? Nadal or Djokovic?
