I think I'm also past the point of shitting on all the kick outs and false finishes on NXT bc it seems the way the business as a whole is gonna go for a bit, it's not gonna make me stop watching and I can learn to enjoy it even if I liked old stuff better bc I'm not gonna stop watching so I can just enjoy this ride while I'm here until the business inevitably morphs into something else and I'll go along with that as well. Not saying you guys can't keep complaining when you don't like something but I can still get some for of entertainment out of all this
Some false finishes is fine, but they overkilled it. You gotta find that line and know where it is.

Even if that was the case saying you hate Gargano now is silly. I hated Kofi's gauntlet match but I'm still hyped for him at wrestlemania.

Kind of is though lol
It's not. It's really not. People can be stupid. They can have lapse in judgment. They can have an off day.

It's not the same as kicking out of everything and anything.

I'm not saying I hate Gargano (at least until you said this was gimmick), but they made me hate how he won it so now I don't care about him being champion.

If you can't see the difference then I don't know what to tell you. There's a pretty big difference between segments and matches. Especially since Austin didn't kick out of all their finishes either. If Johnny had simply beat-up TUE without kicking out of so many finishes, I don't think I'd care as much. It's the idea that he can literally kick out of more things than even Hogan did in his prime. I don't think there's a precedence for this. If anything, his past matches shows him losing in spectacular fashion when the big prize was on the line.

I'm just saying I don't understand why there's no problem with something unbelievable happening in a segment but in a match, it's a dealbreaker. That's what I don't see eye to eye with you on here. Undertaker has no sold being buried alive several times before and we all just go along with it. I agree it hurt the match but the level of outrage just felt kind of questionable. But like Grim said, it is what it is. We've definitely had our different perspectives in the past and it's part of what makes wrestling such an interesting thing. I will concede that you have every right to be as upset as you choose to be while respectfully disagreeing with your position on it

I'm not even disagreeing that the kickout spam was overkill because it was BUT Johnny Gargano has arguably been the best worker in WWE over the last year and the match was so great and Johnny deserves the title so it doesn't really matter. What Kofi did in the gauntlet match would literally be like a superstar coming out after Johnny had his match with Cole and then Johnny beating him.

Wrestling always been about finding the line and crossing it good or bad and it's always going to be. I'm not saying you need to like all this shit that's definitely about to be the future but I'm saying it's pretty inevitable so if you're gonna keep watching you gotta make some peace with it bc Seth Rollins already been doing it and it's only a matter of time until main roster matches are like this every week lol Give it 10 years and they'll be doing something else that you might like and other people are complaining about, I'm hoping for a selling comeback myself.

I'm mad because Gargano winning is something I would have marked for, but they made it so unbelievably stupid that they made me hate it. If I hate segment I can ignore it. It doesn't taint the match that preceded it. The segment only ruins itself. And like I said I'm more made about the kick-outs, than him beating up TUE. If hadn't kicked out of all the finishes, I probably wouldn't have cared at all about the TUE destroying, but you combine the two together and it's too much. I don't care about Taker no selling Buried Alive matches, but then again I don't think they should bill that like they died either. :lizlol

If this becomes the new normal where one wrestler can hit 10 of his finishes and not be able to put a guy away, I'd probably put the current wrestling away and stick with the old stuff. Selling should comeback, but I don't think it's completely gone. We see once in a while.

Hey, whoa.. why does Rollins get singled out here? This style is already prevalent on the main roster and in some ways, has been for years. I mean Hogan was insane. Mankind survived some downright nonsensical stuff. Rock has his share of matches where they spam kick outs. Michaels is guilty. The Taker streak matches. John Cena for like ten years straight.

I actually like Seth Rollins so I just pretended he didn't say that. I don't want him to show me why I should hate him now. :side:

I don't hate it at all, I just feel like he's most "NXT" guy on the main roster currently so I used that as an example

Yeah but I shouldn't be marking for it when one guy does it bc I want it to be an every match thing :side:

edit: wrong quote this was meant to be shields about selling my bad
