WWE Divas Upset With Trish Getting a Mania Spot

It was reported yesterday that there is backstage heat on John Morrison and Melina as a result of their behind the scenes treatment of Trish Stratus. It was claimed that either he or Melina, his girlfriend, felt Stratus took her spot at Wrestlemania XXVII. Morrison rejected various ideas Stratus had for the match and was said to be very difficult to work with. During the live performance, Morrison appeared visibly cold to Status, not making eye contact with her and dodging her following its conclusion. Morrison's treatment of Stratus reportedly hurt her feelings. Word quickly spread amongst the locker room, garnering heat for both himself and Melina among some circles.

Regarding the validity of the story, former WWE talent Sean Waltman (a/k/a X-Pac), who was on hand for the WrestleMania festivities in Atlanta, wrote yesterday on Twitter that a participant of the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match did not behave in a professional manner. He wrote to Stratus, "It was wonderful seeing you this weekend. You are a true professional, unlike someone else in your match and I don't mean Snookie."

He then added that he was very surprised and disappointed by the person's unprofessionalism.

According to a friend of Melina's, the Raw Diva is legitimately upset with Stratus. Melina has privately said that her source of contention with Stratus is not because she herself was snubbed from WrestleMania due to her, but because many of the Divas were. She's upset that many of them were snubbed from the grand event when they're on the road throughout the year, unlike her. Melina also said that she's not the only girl upset with Stratus for "taking their spot."

Meanwhile, Melina wrote a message on Twitter Tuesday defending her Diva peers, and that she will fight for them.

"I was eliminated from TE...Look how far I've come. I'm not the best but God knows I try my best! Thru all the h8 I'm still standing strong!"

"I don't care what ANY1 says, WWE Divas CAN wrestle. We prove it when we get time. I believe in them. I will fight 4 them until U see what I C."

"Thank you everyone. We have a strong group of women in the WWE. A roster that I'm proud to & be a part of."

Trish Stratus deserves a spot on the card because of what she has done in the past. She is the greatest Diva of all time and yet these new diva's are bitching about it. Plus Trish was there to promote WWE's newest show so it was important for her to plan a role so that fans could see that she still has it (and is still smoking hot) and will want to see her again on Tough Enough.

The best Diva's in the past year were clearly LayCool and they rightly got on the card. Out of the rest the Bella Twins were probably next in line which is a bit sad. Melina did nothing all year so shouldn't be on the card.

Morrison is a jerk for acting this was to Stratus and is soft since he clearly just folded because his girlfriend wanted him to act this way. Weak of Morrison and very unprofessional.

The Torch has reported some quotes from the Busted Open radio show where Trish admits Morrison cold-shouldered her and said "some people are not smart you know"

Trish has been mouthing off about the Diva's division since she left WWE. She wrote a blog once where she pretty much said none of the current girls were up to scratch or compared with the division she was in years ago. She was on a radio show with Lita where they both said Diva's should "learn wrestling history" before they're allowed to wrestle. She has made many comments about the state of the women's division since she has been absent from WWE and none of them really positive.

Let's be realistic. Trish was in a group of women who were superior to her in actual wrestling ability, sans Lita who was also a pretty average worker but like Trish had a lot of charisma. Trish was popular because of her boobs. Trish sold merchandise because you could buy half-naked pictures of her (and the rest of the Diva's) because it was pre-PG TV. I'm not disrespecting what she did because she helped resurrect the women's division, and if they had to do it based on looks at least they worked hard and put on good matches.

But Trish didn't exactly struggle her way up through the indies. She was a fitness model. So saying that the current girls don't know enough about wrestling history is a bit rich.

She's earned her own heat with her constant negative remarks about the Diva's over the years. I would rather have seen Beth Phoenix or Kelly Kelly in Snookis spot on WM. I have no interest in seeing a midget doing cheerleader flips. Trish has enough pull to have rallied for a Diva in that spot and had Snooki at ringside, like Vickie was ringside. But she didn't.

While I think Morrision was really unprofessional and he may have hurt himself there, being indiscreet about backstage politics when you're currently working for a company is just as unprofessional. I liked Trish while she was working, and I do like her still, but I lose more and more respect for her when she makes comments like that

Morrison took this the wrong way and really people wonder why he is not in the world title scene. I remember there was an incident with JBL when him and Miz were still together, Miz apologized for it, while Morrison instead fought against it. He has an attitude problem and people do not realize that.

Without Trish, there wouldn't be no Divas division. Stupid bitches.
